Half Moon Cay excursions

My wife and I are cruising on the Victory in February and so far they only list 3 excursions for Half Moon Cay. I figured they would add more the closer we got but it's been a few months since we booked and still nothing but the 3. Is this normal? It is because Half Moon Cay is owned by Carnival and things operate differently there? Appreciate the feedback.

There will be more as time gets closer....and frankly, HMC is a private beach day....you don't HAVE to do any excursions at all! This can be a very cheap, but fun, day...courtesy of the ship! The beach, loungers, sun/water and lunch will be there for you to enjoy!

There are rentals, like jet skis, paddle boats, etc....that you can pay for, but you certainly don't have to!

Other than renting a cabana cant see paying for excursion here.

The horseback riding excursion we did in 2012 was definitely worth paying for, IMO.:) But the Private Oasis last week sure beat the heck out of that!:D I Love HMC - it seems it would be difficult to choose something there (excursion or not) that wasn't enjoyable!

IMHO I just wish Carnival would offer a cruise where they anchor off HMC for five nights and just tender me back and forth everyday. Just open the casino at 5 PM everyday.

HMC is right up my alley, good BBQ, booze, Island Music and a great beach.

You don't need an excursion in HMC, it is great on its' own.

Are you planning on a review / have any photos of your Oasis visit? Everything I've come across is either HAL or really old.

No, I wasn't planning on writing a review. DH does have a few photos. Are there any specific questions you have that maybe I could answer? On second thought, maybe I should post this on a Private Oasis thread, so as not to hijack this one.:o I'll go do that now.:)

A long time ago, 4 cruises, I walked to the secluded beach, past the horizon, over the far rocks , I wonder if it is still in use, or is this where the horses forlic in ocean now.

At the time there were no horse back rides!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I do think it's odd that they are only listing three excursions. Are you looking at the page of the itinerary, or are you going to the "things to do" excursions and spa services? on your payment page?

But I agree with everyone else, this place is so BEACH! I have not found it necessary to book anything. But this next visit, I am going with a friend who doesn't do beach, so we are doing the eco lagoon tour, and yes I will do a review.
