M&L-Colorado Posted July 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Arriving on Carnival ship Feb. 13 (Saturday) at Port of Miami at 8 am. Flying out of FLL. Will not be carrying own bags off & not wanting to extremely rush. Probably taking a shuttle, likely to be SAS. What is earliest suggested low-stress flight time? Thanks - Mike
JohninDC Posted July 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Noon or later. For a noon flight you need to be at FLL by 1030 or before; allowing 45-60 minutes for the trip that means off the ship and loading into a shuttle by about 9:30 -- they will likely push you off the ship well before then. :o

Trying any flight much before then will be complicated by you trying to merge into the large number of people getting off ships in FLL.
BlueHerons Posted July 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I'd say 12:30-1:00 because that is the start of President's Week which is one of the busiest weeks of the year AND the Miami Int'l Boat Show which brings 150,000 to South Florida. Under the best of circumstances it is going to take you 60 minutes to get to FLL from the POM.
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2015 If you want to take your time book a flight at 1:30 PM. Then you can get off the ship at 9:30 AM and worst case is you are there at 10:30 AM. I applaud you on your approach. I see so many people worrying about making their flight and also getting up so early and rushing off the ship. It's a cruise. Enjoy it end to end. M&L-Colorado Posted July 9, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Thanks for responses. Will probably book a 1:25 which is nonstop and cheap. Mike
