How much are the drinks ?

I am looking at a cruise that comes with the free drink package but it says it can only be used on drinks $7.00 and under.

I have only cruised HAL once before but it was about 10 years ago and usually cruise other lines but find their drink prices are easily over $7.00 each.

So does HAL charge a lot less than other lines or are you quite limited in what drinks you can get?

Here is a bar menu from Halfacts:

Most of the drinks are under $7, but that is before the 15% gratuity that is added on. Does the $7 limit include the gratuity, or does the gratuity get added on to your account? That I do not know. If the limit is $7 including the gratuity, It appears that all you can drink is beer. That wouldn't be much of a drink package, IMO.

Thanks for that link. As Pathfinder stated too the drinks are $6.95 .

Can you get sodas and juices too with the drink package or is that separate?

I'll have to look at the tip aspect too.

Thanks for all the replies. I saw the Ryndham with that unique itinerary and thought it might be interesting and then saw the drink package is included for the April 12th voyage if we book with the new sale so it got us interested even though we aren't big drinkers.

For a $6.95 drink, what happens to the 99 cents (Gratuity) over the $7 limit? Does it go on your account or is it absorbed by the package?

Its part of the package. Basically, you can get 15, $6.95 drinks with the gratuity included at no cost to you.

When you buy the package, 15% will be added to the cost to cover grats....

Just to be clear - the OP was referring to the free drink package HAL is offering. With this, you do not have to pay any gratuity. Its included in the package.
