:). I'm surprising my hubby on a little 4 day cruise in November. I booked it Monday with Carnival online. "Casino Rate". For the heck of it I went online a few minutes ago ...$80 Cabin Price Drop!! I just booked us PT Cabin on the Empress Deck.

I know there's some anchor (?) noise because myself and our son booked this ship last April for Spring Break.

Yippie! Let's keep the price drops coming Carnival.🚢🚢

I was calling my TA to ask if I could pay down my cruise using Carnival gift cards (the answer is yes, by the way), and while we were chatting I did a mock booking, and WHOOP! $100 cabin price drop! :p She was getting ready yo hang up when I stopped her!

That's $300 dropped for our spa balcony on the Magic from when we booked in mid-January for this upcoming October! :p

. I just noticed that this cruise we're on the Imagination, last Spring we were on the Inspiration. Is there any big differences between the ships? I figure they're probably pretty similar.

Thanks.

They sail on different days of the week. The buffet is prettier on the Imagination (no purple worms). Otherwise the ships are identical.

If you pay with a giftcard and get price drops does that money become OBC, do they send a new GC or do you get a check mailed to you?

Well I'm still paying off the cruise in "bite sized" pieces, so currently it just reduces the amount due. If the price drops after final payment I assume it becomes OBC. But I don't know for sure.
