Does the Waterfront Awning Impede the View of Deck 9 Cabins?

I was just on the Escape and stayed in a 9th deck balcony. Yes, the waterfront awning does impede the view to where the ship meets the waterline. But once you sit back on your deck chair, the widespread view of the ocean or port is the same as any other balcony. And if you desire that particular view, it's only down one flight of stairs to the 8th deck waterfront.

It does in the sense that you can't look straight down and see the water, but it doesn't impede the horizon view and is completely irrelevant when you are sitting down looking out. We didn't find it to be a problem at all.

We also did not find there to be any noise from the deck below.

Thanks! Did you have any noise issues from the deck below?

My cabin had no noise issues from below because it was located above Cagney's restaurant. If your cabin is located above It's 5'o clock somewhere or the District Brewhouse, there could be noise issues into the late hours.

We did not like the white awning. You could not see the water anywhere close to the ship. Also, there was a glare from the sun. We were above the bar with music. You could definitely hear the music.

Thankfully, we go to bed late, so the music was over most nights when we returned.

The problems were not terrible, but noticeable.
