Idea's or suggestion for tour in Miami / Miami Beach

Will be our first time in Miami / Miami Beach looking a tour that gives some sites and etc. on the city. We will be staying at the Sagamore Hotel on Miami Beach and would need a tour that picks up at hotel since we will be flying in. Thanks

I'd start by calling the hotel and see what they suggest.

There are a couple of different hop-on/off tours operating in Miami/Miami Beach that should give you a flavor/overview of both cities.

You can pick up the Big Bus Miami hop on hop off bus at Washington Ave & 13th St (3 blocks from the Sagamore), or the City Sightseeing bus outside the James hotel, on Collins Ave & 15th St, right next door to the Sagamore.

Check out sites like Groupon/Living Social and Travelzoo as they usually have discounted rates. You can purchase tickets on the bus, but sometimes if you prepay online, there is a discount offer.

There are different routes and loops that will give you a great overview of the greater Miami / Miami Beach area.

A few years ago, we did an evening Art Deco Cocktail Tour and it was very interesting and fun. We have a much better understand and appreciation of the Art Deco style as a result.

This is a walking tour and the meeting place was at a hotel in South Beach. They offer the same tour, sans cocktails, during the day as well and I think it is about 2 hours in length and the cost is approx $30/pp.

We haven't had an opportunity to do the "Little Havana" tour, but that sounds interesting as well.

Don't let the fact that you don't have a car limit your opportunities. Uber is awesome way to get to and from a tour starting point. We did the Miami to the Max tour. We did have to take an uber to the location start but it was simple. The tour gives you a taste of all of Miami. Check it out.
