Just wanted to know if there is a duty free shop at are near the Royal Navy dockyard (for the purchase of alcohol).

Are you allowed to take it with you while touring the island or is it delivered to your cruise ship. Our plan was to do a day at the beach and bring our own alcohol.

It's delivered to your cruise ship. The whole idea of duty free alcohol is that it's not allowed to be consumed in the country where you buy it.

There's a store at the Pier 41 Marina in the Dockyard, not far from the Clocktower Mall that sells liquor and beer:
