JordanLovesCruisin Posted July 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2014 Hello all, we are taking our 11 month old on his second cruise. GT is one of our stops. Can anyone recommend an excursion or activity that we can do with him? Thanks!
kellyx3 Posted July 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2014 I travel with my four kids ages 12-3 and visited Grand Turk for the first time last year. We went snorkeling with a private company that allowed kids under 5. But honestly for you I would recommend renting a cabana and just enjoying a day at the pool. The cabana would allow you to get the little one out of the sun when necessary. The cruise line excursions are really age restrictive so you would not be able to do most of them. Some people rent golf carts and tour the island etc, but not with a little one. There is a nice beach and pool that are right off the ship and free to use. You will have a great day there! Cruise, J.D. Posted July 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2014 I'd recommend the beach at the pier. There are plenty of shaded lounge chairs and it is right at the end of the pier. It would be easy to let him play in the sand and water and you would be close to the ship if you needed to go back.
Nitemare Posted July 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Does he like parasailing? Scuba? Shopping? He's 11 months old. Do what YOU want to do and keep him safe. If mom and dad are happy, junior will be happy.
sail7seas Posted July 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2014 There is a beach and a huge pool area right where the ship docks. Perhaps you'd all enjoy a day of sun, sand and water?
Rare nydney1 Posted July 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2014 I may sound like a broken record, but I would wander down the beach to Jack's Shack. Their are lounge charis and umbrellas for shade. It is allot less crowded adn you can still play on the beach.

Being close to the ship could be very helpful to you. ;) LuLu
JordanLovesCruisin Posted July 30, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Thank you. He prefers parasailing and then having a cold beer so maybe we will do that. The cabanas have been rented since we booked. Boo! After all these reviews about Jacks we will do that :). Beck loves dogs and like I said, cold beer. So we will all be happy.
