We are going to be on the Allure in Sept. Trying to decide on a hotel near the port. Has anybody recently stayed at the Embassy Suites? Was it nice or are there any other recommendations?

Any ideas or thoughts are greatly:) appreciated!!

It's pretty much like any ES. Breakfast included as well a drink hour in the early evening.

It's located on 17th St a main, very busy road. Within 5 min walk of stores and restaurants. It's popular with cruisers for its location. Close to the port. Note, it is not by the beach if you'd like that view.

Just stayed there two weeks ago before our Allure cruise.

We arrived to the Hotel at 12:30 and our room was ready.

We were on the 10th. floor and had a view of port, and saw Oasis at pier.

Dumped off our luggage and had lunch at the hotel, very pricey, it was raining and we did not venture out.

Un packed some necisities.

Stopped raining, and walked to Publix to pick up suntan lotions and stuff.

Managers reception.....wow, open bar, unlimited drinks, and munchies with popcorn and salsa.

Breakfast.......every item imaginable from fresh made eggs, omlets, pancakes, waffles cereals.........

It was worth staying here.

I would highly recommend.

Cab to port $15, we gave him $20.

It is a typical Embassy Suites. It is right next to a shopping center with a Publix and Total Wine. There are many restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. The Embassy Suites has a great pool area. It is a very short taxi ride to the port. Many, many cruiser's stay at this particular hotel and I will be staying there before my Allure cruise on Sept. 15th. :)

We've stayed at Embassy Suites before also and will be staying again in early October for 2 day pre-cruise...got a great rate using LMT (last minute travel with free membership) less than using Hilton honors or MVP.
