TSA lock won't lock

Hi all - not sure if this is the right place to post but today I bought a new TSA lock from target. However the lock opens to any combination of numbers! Has anyone ever experienced something like this or know how to fix it? Leaving for my cruise in 4 days so very urgent!

Sounds like a defective product and has nothing to do with the TSA or aviation.

Suggest you go back to Target and get a refund or replacement. Just like you would for any other product you bought there that didn't work.

Usually there are instructions on how to set the numbers to open/lock the lock. Usually start at all zeros. Then, there is usually a little button that you have to press in with a paperclip or ball point pen. When pressed in, you set the lock to your numbers. Stop pressing. spin the numbers and then stop at your numbers. Should do the trick. If it doesn't, you probably have a bad lock. Or, someone maliciously went to a store and started doing this so others couldn't do the lock...

I would just return it today and get a new lock.
