3,000+ Club

3,000+ Club (3/15)

  1. If you book onboard you'll benefit from some extra OBC and double Voyager points on the next cruise. You can still transfer the booking to your TA ...
  2. Nothing other than the list on the MSC website ... 🙂
  3. It seems unlikely if you are only now, some months later, sending your Voyager Club numbers to the TA... Pity as the savings are worth having, but it is probably too late to do anything about it this time. How long until you sail? ... is there any availability to let you cancel and rebook perhaps? (if the prices have not risen significantly)
  4. The rules are the same for all, but there is this bit in the T&Cs: 4.1.2 The only way to be eligible for the MSC Voyagers Club benefits is to provide the MSC Voyagers Club Identification number at the time of the cruise booking. We do often see people getting the benefits applied when they status match shortly after making a booking, but it sounds like you booked a few months ago and only recently got the match... Did you get the 5%+5% discount?
  5. Yes, but she doesn't have to wait to join the Voyagers club, she can do that now and just start at zero points, the 'one-shot' aspect is just for the status match. No, that doesn't increase, and you only get it when you book more than 9 months in advance of the departure date. You get that from Silver upwards and she will hit that very quickly even starting at zero...
  6. If you are booking YC I'd question the logic in having her do a match as it is a one-time only thing and she will hit Gold from zero pretty quickly... I matched to Gold last year and after two YC cruises (one very short), I am Diamond and my wife is Gold.
  7. ... or hold her status match in reserve so she can use it in the future if they lose status under the 3 year rule... When travelling together it really doesn't make much difference if only one of you has status. She should get her Voyager membership done though.
  8. Ignore the time you have been given, just arrive in the morning as suggested above.
  9. If you got the premium internet as part of the standard YC package that was a glitch. It isn't a change to basic, it was basic last year and still basic this year, but as it is on Starlink on most (..all?) ships now, even the basic isn't bad, but if you want to stream video etc. then the premium is the safest bet.
  10. That part sounds more like a charge from the TA then one from MSC...
  11. The 63 days part is only relevant for cancellations, you can use your right to substitute a new holiday package for the original holiday package right up to 30 days before departure. The new package has to depart later than your original package and has to be within 90 days of the original departure date, if not then there is a £50 charge. Similarly, if the new package costs more than the original package then you have to pay the extra amount, but if it is lower then you don't get a reduction. All this is in the 'Standard Booking Terms' that you would have received when you made the reservation, if your TA did not pass them on to you then your argument is with the TA...
  12. We didn't spot it on our first Divina cruise in June last year, only noticed it this time as we were on deck 16 and used the elevator to go up to the pool deck for breakfast. Never actually saw anyone smoking there, just noticed the ashtrays.
  13. That can happen on any cruise, but we've only experienced that once on a different line and a call to security had the matter quickly resolved, as it is a fire hazard and usually taken seriously when reported.
  14. Didn't actually notice cigarette smoke at any time while we were onboard Divina, despite the number of places where it is allowed.
  15. In February at least, there was a small smoking area on the port side of the pool deck right outside the exit from the elevator that is within the YC enclave. Just a couple of tables and a couple of ashtrays, and it is very far away from anywhere anyone would usually want to sit.
