  1. Yes, that all changed with the shift to the 5:00 AM reset. But, in our experience, on more than one occasion the daily count screw ups were favorable...😉
  2. In previous years the ice rink seats were on the left front side as you face the stage, which were OK, but recently have been front and center facing the stage which are excellent, as you mention. Agree as well with the Aqua theater.
  3. ...and I believe that is the result of inconsistent computer connections with the register terminals and the ship. Not sure there are issues with drink packages or a la carte purchases but when the problem exists, they seem to have issues with tracking vouchers via the SeaPass cards. At least that is what a bartender told me at Coco Beach club one time.
  4. Should have read you post closer - didn't mean to repeat your information.
  5. To add, it is always a good idea to confirm whether or not to use a voucher with a soda or other non-alcoholic purchase as, although we usually get asked, the server may default to using it if not aware otherwise. At D+ you will receive 5 vouchers per person, and they are combinable - you can use yours for your spouse, and visa versa, as the case may be. The vouchers are automatically renewed every 24 hours at 5:00 AM. Any remaining unused vouchers are forfeited as they do not carry over. If at the end of the night we have any left over we will go to any bar and get unopened canned or plastic bottled beverages (beer, Truly, soda, water) to take back to the stateroom for future use so as not to lose the vouches. The only venue in our experience they are not accepted is a the Bionic Bar. Depending on ship and venue, reserved seating is available in the main theater, the ice rink, and the aqua theater, and has been for a number of years. In our most recent experience it was balcony back center in the main theater, front center ice in the ice rink, and back center in the aqua theater. If you wish to take advantage of it, I would suggest showing up about 20 minutes or so early as they open any remaining seats up to general seating about 10 minutes before the show. Enjoy your returning D+ cruise!
  6. As inferred, there really is no way to know what the packages will be on board, but it is safe to say they likely will be more than if purchased in advance on the planner. Please understand as well that any price offered on the planner, if lower after purchase, can be canceled and rebought at the lower price without penalty up to 2 days prior to sailing. IMO it typically is best to buy it pre-cruise v on board.
  7. You can do it yourself through the cruise planner or call RCCL and they can assist and do it for you. You just have to have everyone's booking number when you do the linking. Typically, as the one doing the linking you would also be the one doing the reservations, etc., on behalf of the rest. Just be advised if anyone else makes a change in the linked reservations it will affect all others similarly.
  8. Well technically all of the specialty restaurants have an upcharge, or a fee. But any of the dining packages will cover that so you can dine at any of them at no additional charge. That is what the package purchase price covers. (Chef's Table is excluded and would require an additional fee). Izumi is a la carte and we don't include that in the package as we never reach the fee allowance when we dine there. And to be clear, there is the Unlimited Dining Package, which covers all specialty restaurants for dinner every night on board, and I believe also includes a couple of lunches. The other packages, such as the 3 night you refer to is for any restaurant for dinner on any three nights, with the first one typically being on day one or two. But they are separate packages - there is no such thing as a UDP 3 night package.. So if your TA provided one night and you purchase the 3 night package, you will have 4 total nights at a specialty restaurant. And you can dine multiple times at any of them within the total nights allowed with your package.
  9. Only ever costs us cab fare. Never book through the ship. Never have to. And Cockleshell Bay Beach in particular has ridiculously inexpensive beverages to help pass the day.
  10. Officially no, and when going through security if found, they will hold it for you until the final night. Please note that I said "officially". Your results may vary.
  11. 12 oz would work - 16 oz would be sure to cover anything.
  12. Here is the Celebrity beverage package list pdf detailing everything served by package. Too many to list separately. (They would be the same availability without a beverage package, just a la carte): Celebrity drink packages.pdf
  13. 12 oz. aluminum, at least with the ones I consume.
  14. Sounds like you have time, even if you go ahead with the eventual deposit, and clearly will not be penalized with a cancelation as long as it is before final payment. Hope your wife recovers fully and can decide to go and enjoy the cruise.
  15. I agree. I don't think anyone is suggesting Celebrity will be involved at all with any refunded money other than with port fees and taxes on the second passenger, which will be refunded. As others have said, any refund for the second passengers' fare would come through an insurance claim.
