There are 2 cruise ferries operating the overnight sailing from Newcastle to Amsterdam.(Ijmuiden) 1 leave's Amsterdam (Ijmuiden) and another leaves Newcastle at the same time. It is a 15 hour sailing. They run every day. There are shuttles from Ijmuiden to Amsterdam taking about 30 minutes. From Newcastle I believe the shuttle takes people to the city centre although there is a retail outlet called Royal Quays about 1000 metres from Tyne dock North Shields (Newcastle) cruise terminal.
