To your point, we are going on the cruise as a holiday and/or celebrate special occasion, where people more dressed up. Also, is it OK to wear jeans to a wedding? I understand that is Celebrity decision, but I don't have to like it.
People who follow "Celebrities trend" don't have their own sense of style. That is why fashion industry is a Billions$$$ business. BTW, some of the most famous designers do not wear their own brand.
I submitted yesterday by email for November and December cruise - got OBC confirmation email this morning. But I also have a question - when did RCCL change the amounts? I remember getting more than $100 for 11 days cruise. It is fine - just curious.....
Yes. I think there were 3 nights out of 9. But we don't eat that late, so it would not work for us. We will try on board, maybe there will be some cancellations.
Early this year, I used online form - didn't go anywhere. 2 weeks later I submitted via email, never got an email confirmation like before, but X CS told me over the phone - it was approved.
In MHO - any jeans are not suitable for Chic Nights. Never seen anyone wear jeans in Specialty restaurants. But you would not be turned away. Unfortunately, cruising dress codes are going down the hill. I dress up, so is my DH.
I couldn't do any advance reservation in Murano 60 days before the cruise. Nothing was available before 9pm. Most of days no time slots were available.
We enjoy AQ for dining in BLU and Persian Garden, all other additives are irrelevant to us. It used to be reasonably priced, but not any more. I did upgrade to AQ from a balcony for only $90 / cabin total for our April cruise. I think X wanted to sell few available cabins. So now they call it sold out. Otherwise, now we book balcony and for the price difference we dine in Specialty restaurants several times. It seems AQ is now about $400-500/pp per day - not worth it.
Happy to report that when I called yesterday to pay for our Holiday cruise on Equinox, I was able to book Murano for 2 nights with plenty time slots available. Go figure....
Last time we dined in Murano in March, we had no problem to make reservations on board and there were plenty empty tables. That is why this time no availability puzzled me. Stuffing??? Other restaurants have plenty of time slots.
Thank you all for your input. I was not even thinking about packages. It was just strange to me. I never had this problem, although, like you pointed out - it is a Holiday cruise. I will be checking daily and then on board. Looking forward to this cruse.😀
We are booked on Xmas / New Year cruise for 11 days and we're planning to have 2-3 dinners at Murano, but when I tried to reserve them, found out - nothing was available, not even listed under "manage my reservation". What might be the reason? Any thoughts?
