Basic economy flights. We bought our airfare to Greece in 2022 through them. It worked great going there JFK-Rome-Athens. Unfortunately, my husband caught COVID toward the end of our cruise and we had to quarantine additional days in Greece. NCL said our tickets could not be changed. So, we had to buy new return flights. Fortunately, we had travel insurance

If you are retired, have you considered looking at last minute deals on older ships like Enchantment, Grandeur, etc.?

All travel is high right now. Airline and hotel prices are too high also.

Great choice. If you are traveling from the US or Canada, I would arrive at 2 nights before the cruise begins and spend a couple of nights in Rome seeing the sights.

Why not book the Sun Princess for 2025 and keep the Apex sailing assuming you sail every year.

Have plans to eat at Rooftop Grill when in St. Maarten and departing St. Maarten. Should be beautiful.

My husband and I took a Greece Israel cruise in 2022 on another line. I had read on Cruise Critic that in some previous cruises to Israel, the Israel stop had been scrapped due to rocket attacks. I knew going in that our cruise could be re-routed and told my husband that. Fortunately, we were able to go but when booking a cruise to the Middle East, you have to know that the port situation could change. This is quite different from when an engine malfunctions or there are barnacles on a ship.

Does the Mediterranean Inn offer shuttles?

I wonder if they lost staff alos to the Ascent.

This! NY is a terrorist target. If they are worried, stay in a hotel in New Jersey and travel to the port on the morning of the cruise.
