  1. Yes, I think because the other Cunard ship naming ceremonies were so classic, I was expecting more of the same,oh well,at least we didn't have the rest of the spice girls bouncing about on the stage 😂🤣
  2. They really are fantastic aren't they? I think once in all my years of cruising I've had a real grump of a waiter but then we don't know what they may be dealing with x
  3. Totally agree,he is an asset. I think he said he wouldn't be on QA which is a shame as this seems to be the ship that is doing the Christmas & New year cruise now & is our main holiday. I find if you treat them with respect & have a good laugh with them, you get so much more back from them. I've seen some appalling behaviour towards staff, which I find disgusting 🤨
  4. Yes,he is a very kind gentleman & tbh he has an air of authority about him, which I like in senior crew members. Hope your hubby was ok 😊💖
  5. 😂🤣 I know,it's incredible how they do it, haven't seen him for months and as you turn into the restaurant doors it's.......ah Mr & Mrs......how lovely to see you again 😳😳😳
  6. Oh how wonderful, yes, this is him, he always remembers us when we arrive onboard, big softie at heart 😂
  7. Thank you to you both, that'll be him ....phewwww!! I might have been certified if I'd not get his name 😂 aww that's a shame you don't like him Vic2 underneath his grumpy exterior he's absolutely lovely,we always just joke around with him, rarely breaks a smile but his wit is next to none. Very dry sense of humour thank you all again xxx
  8. Thank you also for replying but nooooooo, that wasn't his name, 😆I think I'm going mad now trying to remember,he is a very tall large man, very gruff demeanour,ALWAYS at the QV grills restaurant door,I think he said he's from Croatia but not certain, probably well into his 50s maybe 60 xx
  9. Thanks for replying but no,that's not the name,he's usually on QV,this is going to drive me mad now 😂
  10. I have to say, was completely underwhelmed by the ceremony, I don't know what I was expecting but it just all seemed tasteless, apart from Bocelli
  11. I really like the man who greets you at the queens grill restaurant, for the life of me I can't remember his name, big fella, appears grouchy but once you get to know him,he is lovely, always gets us a decent table ☺️
  12. I remember going on the first cruise right after COVID and that terrifying wait in your car for the text saying if you were clear or not, thankfully we both were, all you could hear from our car was ......wooooooooohhhoooooo lol
  13. We love the aft suites too but after having the corner ones we now will definitely stick to the middle ones in future and tbh we really don't need such a huge corner balcony one anyway and as Sue B says, once you've done Queens grills, there's no going back 😆
  14. I agree with one of the other posts, wrap around balcony sounds fab but when we were in that cabin, more times than not,we couldn't sit out because of the wind that howls round the corner 🥶
  15. We booked Christmas and New Year '26 yesterday 🥳🥳
  16. I'm vegetarian and GF and never had any issues, one waiter even offered to get me gf scone for the high tea. We go in Queens grills and they can't do enough for you, although the butler kept giving me fish canopies, politely told him and it was sorted very quickly
  17. Our butler NEVER let us run dry of wine ,in fact they were piling up 🥴🥴
  18. We had a wrap around and not to put you off but it blew a gale when the ship was sailing,it was too windy to sit out most of the time
  19. Ah,what a good point, think I'll ask next time I'm there
  20. Eeeooww, how disgusting,I would expect that from other certain cruise lines but not Cunard , it is difficult to know what to do if you don't like confrontation 🫤
  21. They were quite spectacular this year, the ending was so loud we could feel the ship vibrating 🫨
