  1. Hi everyone, can anyone tell me if you can find out what the entertainment is on QV at this time? I mean the speakers and the bands in the garden room etc. Thank you in advance
  2. They sure do......and there's a gym onboard?? Lol 😂🤣😂
  3. Yes definitely, although when that propeller needed replacing it was REALLY rattling, I think some people asked to be moved but it didn't really bother us,the reason we LIKE the aft is because you can hear the propellers cutting through the water.......oh roll on next cruise 😆
  4. Ah ok,tbh it doesn't bother us,it was only a question about what do they do or name ships once QE & QV retire,we'd never change from Cunard now, simply because they have the best service in our humble opinion,I suppose when you have thousands of pairs of feet treading the carpets they're bound to become threadbare etc we like the aft of the ship and last time there was a lot of rumbling and rattling, corridors were very marked etc, just an observation x
  5. Mechanical issues, rattling quite severely last time we were onboard,on deck 5 aft the corridors are really scruffy, pieces falling off, scuffs etc,I know this is just cosmetic but our suite was very tired too, sofa needed replaced, balcony was super rusty, again,I realise, these things are to be expected but when you pay for a Queens grill........ please don't get me wrong,I'm not having a moan (honestly 😂) time before last we had to go into dry dock because a propeller was broken, just wondered if this meant the ship was fatigued or is this just a normal replacement?
  6. I don't mean they're falling to bits or anything but definitely getting old, don't get me wrong,I'll never sail with anyone else now but what WILL happen when they have to retire them?
  7. What will Cunard do when their old ships need to retire? We mostly sail on QE & QV and they are both getting very tired.Booked on QA over Christmas & new year 2025,hopefully the WiFi will be better lol
  8. My hubby loves a Harvey Wallbanger,it's also not on the drinks menu but they gladly make it for him. Also a sidecar, anyone tried that? Deeeeelish
  9. We booked on wed 4th and thankfully grabbed the suite we wanted for Christmas and new year'25,we always just book online, seems much easier and quicker that way, rather than hold for an operator. Hope you all have wonderful cruises ❣️
  10. I'm GF AND vegetarian so a double whammy for me but the staff are amazing and I've never encountered any problems ☺️
  11. It's GOT to be a Singapore sling,or a cosmo....or a kir royale oh just anything for me lol
  12. We booked a cruise to Italy whilst onboard and wow is it worth it,such a small deposit and more onboard spending, definitely worth it x
  13. We sailed with Cunard in the Queens grills and have done for many years and we too have noticed cut backs,no more luxury body lotions, shampoo etc to take home, large box of chocolates on arrival is now 4 small chocolates,no fruit in the cabin and upstairs for coffee you used to get a bikky but that's stopped too, after that being said, I still wouldn't sail with anyone else
  14. Ah ok,we love the suites at the aft too, they are always the ones we go into, nothing nicer than sitting on the big balcony watching the sea ☺️ well, I won't be changing my cabin anytime soon just for a window seat at dinner, many thanks for your reply x
  15. Hi Nancy & Frank, firstly, what a fabulous picture of you both ☺️ what type of cabin are you in on Cunard? We are lucky enough to be in Queens grill and I cannot complain about anything there,we do use the buffet for lunch though as there is much more choice of food and it's good too. Entertainment is always a hit or miss as it comes down to the individual taste but a yo-yo demo?? Woohoooo lol good films on Cunard either in your cabin or they show one every in the cinema but not sure on a world cruise. hope you both have fun x
  16. Hi,we too have been told NO to a window seat and we have sailed many times with Cunard in the Queens, friends told us to get up there as soon as we board, which we did do last time but still told no,so I'm guessing it's either the suite you are in or how many times you have sailed with them, our next cruise puts us into platinum,so we'll see 🤨
  17. Thank you kind person for clarifying to someone who clearly cannot take a joke, blimey, you really can insult anyone nowadays.
  18. We're booked on Queen Anne for Xmas & New Year 2024,in a Queens grill suite, totally dismayed at seeing they have no windows in the bar area, the one thing we love doing on QV & QE is sitting having drink and looking out to sea,I can see us going to some other bar and mingling with the common people lol
