  1. Exactly. So why use a large marker? No one intends to roll over a marker, but when you're only typically moving your mark a putter head distance, accidents happen and marks do get hit on occasion. A flat one disrupts things much less. But you do as you prefer, it doesn't affect me. The medallion seems smaller than a poker chip at least.
  2. There's a market for used medallions with someone else's name on them? I wouldn't have guessed that.
  3. I haven't seen one yet, but aren't they kind of thick for that? A putt rolling over that seems like it would get knocked off line. Then again, some people use poker chips, and those are so clunky they are almost bigger than the ball. You might as well just leave your ball there. (OK, admittedly a poker chip would be unlikely to move if hit)
  4. Hence my comments about bookings that don't end up as actual sailings. It puts more bookings in their database, but is it really going to relate to many more cruisers? Perhaps some cruisers who would have booked eventually anyway will be spurred to book now instead, but in the end that doesn't result in more passengers actually sailing either.
  5. Is this really that great an incentive? If prospective passengers don't have the modest normal $200 deposit to book a cruise, how are they going to pay for the rest of the cruise? I'm sure it will result in extra bookings, but I expect far fewer of those bookings will end up making their final payment than is normally the case. DCThunder may be exactly right on the intent of this promotion: Get some extra bookings so things look better for Wall Street, even if many of those bookings don't end up being completed as cruises taken.
  6. I got it to work, thanks. Once I retook the photos using landscape mode they stayed right side up even after saving.
  7. Both my security photo and the picture of my vaccination card appear correctly when I first upload them. But when I hit save and then go back to view them, they appear sideways. Is it a landscape vs. portrait mode thing? If so, I don't know why it would have appeared right side up before I saved it, then changed. (Searched this 137 page thread for the word "sideways" and didn't find an answer. Though Thrak did mention it on page 26. Sorry if this is a known problem.)
  8. The reasonableness depends on how interconnected the HVAC system is. If it runs the risk of spreading Covid to nearby cabins where the passengers aren't infected, not so good. If that's not the case, then fine. It may present a security issue as well. If they want someone watching to make sure the infected don't break quarantine, far easier for them to be all on the same hall.
  9. Almost every ship is in the orange category on the CDC's color status board. I think it's safe to say Covid is currently widespread on cruise ships: https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/cruise/cruise-ship-color-status.html
  10. Everyone agrees that is true, but it doesn't say "Molecular Test" in the Princess rules on the timing. It just says 3 days (US) or 72 hours (Canada) for a PCR test. 2 days antigen test. The Princess rules do say the NAAT test is accepted. They just don't say which category it falls in for the timing. Presumably the same as PCR as you say, but why not make that clear in the guidance?
