That’s really interesting to know as I’m a solo cruiser so that would make a big difference to me.

Hi all, I’ve seen a few people mention that they have NCL Stock and I’m curious about this. I know less than zero about the stock market but am wondering if maybe I should invest. How much stock do you need to buy? What are the advantages? Can you give me a ballpark figure of what you need to spend to do this? I’d be very grateful for any info you can give me! I did try searching but didn’t find what I was looking for. Many thanks, Laura

I also paid $3 extra on the Breakaway earlier this month. Loved every sip but it didn’t last too long! Sigh…..

Ship - Breakaway Deck -10 Stateroom # -10523 Stateroom Category –Studio Starboard or Port Side - inside Quiet Stateroom? No Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -No - Any specific problems with this cabin? - Very loud water sounds coming from void area on other side of the studio cabin wall. Stopped in the early hours of the morning and started up again after 6 am. Avoid this cabin! Any other comments? cabin showing signs of wear especially wardrobe doors that didn’t slide properly. Were very annoying.

Normal or oversized for class? -normal Was wind a problem? -no If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Any specific problems with this cabin? - can hear people above playing table tennis. Quite annoying. Any other comments?

I’m just back from the Breakaway. The lounge is always open but one night I was having trouble sleeping and I went to the lounge at around 2 am. The coffee machine was off and the food areas were empty. I was looking to get a warm drink but went back to my cabin empty handed!

You can book this in advance. Contact NCL about it or ask your travel agent. It’s definitely worth doing. Have a great trip! laura

I was on the Getaway in February in the Caribbean. I can’t remember which island it was but we needed photo ID to get back into the port to board the ship. Luckily I had taken my driver’s license with me!

I haven’t heard of these as I’m relatively new to NCL. What’s advantage of them?

I was out on deck in Vibe in February sailing back to New York. It was lovely. The Med should still be nice late October. Even if you need something over your shoulders, it’s lovely there. For me the biggest thing is the quiet there. When you walk by the pool deck it was so noisy. I like the quiet!

Thank you for all the info about the bus into Palma and the queues to get on it. Just wondering if you have an excursion do you have to take the bus too or did the excursion buses pick people up at the ship? I’ll be there later in the year, so I’m curious. Thanks. Hi all, I’ve just received my cabin assignment and it’s beside the lifts under the sun deck. I’m wondering if anyone has experience of these cabins and if they are noisy? Especially early morning when chairs are being moved around on the sun deck? Many thanks, Laura

I’ll be on the same cruise a few weeks after you also travelling solo. I did my first solo cruise to the Caribbean in February this year. I would definitely recommend getting the vibe pass. I loved it! As a solo traveller it was lovely being somewhere where the bartenders know your name. I met some lovely people there every day. It was very social. I’ve already booked Vibe for my upcoming cruise. Go for it! Have a wonderful trip!

@YVRteacher for wheelchair assistance, this is requested through NCL. Give them a call. There’s a form to fill out. I have some mobility issues following an illness and requested assistance for my cruise in February. It was brilliant. It’s just for embarkation and disembarkation. Made life so much easier for me. I would heartily recommend it to anyone. Enjoy your cruise. I’m looking forward to your trip report. It’s my dream to sail to Alaska one of these days! Laura
