La Spezia-Tuscan Farmhouse and Village of Lari excursion
CruiseloverfromGA replied to luv2camp04's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I agree. The ride out to the Farmhouse was not worth the limited time we spent there. I shared my dissatisfaction with the shore excursion desk. -
Carnival Paradise rescues 27 people adrift at sea
CruiseloverfromGA replied to jimbo5544's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
They stay in the buffet. Just kidding. They are either in the medical center or on a crew deck, usually under the supervision of the ships security team until the Coast Guard arrives. -
We are looking at doing Chef's Table for our upcoming Edge cruise in the Med. Did you end up doing it? If so, where was the dinner held?

Wedding In September on the X Solstice
CruiseloverfromGA replied to yoyoyomonkeysss's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We were married in November on Apex and were able to get all of the digital images for around $900. We had several hundred pictures. -
Liveish from the Apex Nov 19-Nov 26

I had to ask our stateroom attendant for towels. He got them to us very quickly and we left them on the balcony when we returned. -

His adult show was very good. We laughed throughout. Sometimes the adult shows are nothing but expletives. This was not the case for Ralph's show. He told adult jokes but it was not filled with vulgarity. It was really good. -

BeeMinor and WTH, We were on the same sailing. This was our first time in the Retreat and had a fantastic experience. I agree with you about Eden and Rooftop. We had fantastic dinners there. We were less impressed with Le Grand Bistro. We also both enjoyed Ralph Harris and went to his adult show as well. Liz in the Retreat was super helpful to us. We may have just been in there at separate times. I agree that the Retreat pool was very busy and I was often frustrated by the chair hogs. Especially those that put stuff on the Gazebo chairs and left it there for HOURS without ever going back to it. Not sure if we ran into either one of you. We were the newlyweds with the funny t-shirts -

9:00AM Flight Home — Yep, did it!
CruiseloverfromGA replied to What A Market's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We are on the Apex and are in a Sky Suite. We have an 11 AM flight out of FLL and also have TSA precheck. Should we carry off our luggage or can we get in the first disembarkation group? We also arranged a private transfer to the airport (currently set for 8:30 but I can adjust if needed). I'm also familiar with FLL. I lived there for 20 years. -
We are doing it on the Apex on the 22nd. I've done a similar tour several years ago with a private company. We did not find the swim difficult.

Christmas Ornaments in St Kitts
CruiseloverfromGA replied to CruiseloverfromGA's topic in St. Kitts & Nevis
Thanks so much -
My wife and I will be in St Kitts in 2 weeks on the Celebrity Apex. We love to collect Christmas ornaments from places we visit. Are there any shops near the port where we could pick up an Ornament?

Celebrity Apex Meet Up Recommendations
CruiseloverfromGA replied to CruiseloverfromGA's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Those are great options. We have a small group (about 20). I’ll suggest the Rooftop Garden. -
Sailing on the Apex in two weeks. Looking for suggestions of a location for a Cruise Critic meet up. Don’t need anyplace formal or sit down. Probably mid afternoon on Day 2. Thanks in advance.
-
Thanks for the feedback. My fiancée is a bit concerned about being on the Magic Carpet anyway. I'll probably cancel the reservation.
-
Well that's a bummer. I will hold onto the reservation for now. I can always cancel it later. I did a Chef's Table on Carnival years ago and had a great time.
-
Just had something show up in my pre cruise planner as Dinner on the Edge. Would that be the Chefs Table?

One of my best friends and his wife will be on your sailing. If they have an 80s night, look for George and Brenda!
