  1. Thank you so much for this! We are on a Norway Arctic Circle cruise and this helps so much! It's our second time taking a Norway cruise but the first time going into the Arctic Circle. I remember what I used for the most part on our lasts cruise there, but this time it's in a different month so I was wondering how to prepare. Thanks! And yes, Greenland is on my list...so thanks for the heads up on Prins Christian Sund.
  2. What a review! Thank you. We have an upcoming Norway cruise and this has been so helpful. How cold were you in these ports? What kind of layers worked, what didn’t work? Do you have a summary list of your tour guides and what port you used them ?
  3. We are planning our trip for 2025 and following this thread closely. The Suica app…I’m trying to download it. Can you take a screenshot of the app icon so I know that I’m downloading the right one? Thanks
  4. Like that doesn’t happen with just a bit of creative thinking on balconies with just chairs. Maybe the chairs are the next to go given Celebrity’s new found paranoia.
  5. We are docking out of town near the Botanical Garden...Celebrity in July 2024. Excursions to the cable car and gothic cathredral are sky high. We'd like to do this on our own as we'd also like to wander the town and also stop at Ohallen pub. I have no idea if Celebrity will be offering a shuttle into town. If we choose to take a cab, how available are they? Once they drop us off at the cable car or wherever...how to we find one to take us back? We ran into this very issue in Iceland where we could not find a cab once we were done sightseeing in Reykjavik to get us back to the ship. Can someone walk me through this? We are open to taking the bus as well, but would probably opt for a cab as our preference.
  6. And that small percentage of passengers paid dearly for that suite experience which includes a larger balcony with loungers. Just because it doesn't affect the majority, doesn't mean it's ok and the collective we should move on. Its just as important to these passengers as wines are to others.
  7. My imagination is running away with me on this one. LOL!
  8. We are so excited...we are cruising with friends in 2025 on the Millennium. Sunset verandas. Can the dividers on the balconies be opened? Would anyone know since the recent renovation to this ship? Deck 7 to be exact if that helps.
  9. I have to wonder if you would have looked at this on another browser or in incognito mode, would the prices been different. I sometimes wonder if celebrity is tracking us, how often we check pricing, and then adjusting prices on demand.
  10. So is this the new marketing strategy to push this type of cabin into one of the most expensive ones due to having a lounger? Maybe. Yet others have reported no loungers at all on the Magic Carpet suites.
  11. Those balconies are huge. What exactly are they thinking when they degrade the whole appeal of that type of balcony? The whole draw was the ample space and the multiple seating options. Honestly, why bother booking it if it can't be used appropriately?
  12. Believe me, I've thought that already. And I've thought that poeple may get more resourceful and might buy a cheap one themselves and bring it onboard like luggage and leave them behind after the cruise...or they may borrow them from the pool deck themselves.
  13. Have a great time and please come back and let us know what you experience with these loungers.
  14. When is your cruise? Soon? Your experience will help the rest of us determine what to do (if anything can be done).
  15. Can’t speak to Princess, but we just did a cruise on Ncl Encore in the Haven (their suite /ship within a ship) and I LOVED everything about the Haven…from their cabins, to the butler, to the restaurant, to the private sun deck both inside and outside lounge areas. And yes we had thick padded loungers and chairs on our balcony. And NCL has some very nice itineraries. We prefer the Celebrity product but wow it’s changing so much and not for the better.
  16. Thank you! As luck would have it, an NCL reel just popped up about the NCL Prima’s suites…and what do they have? Loungers on the balcony. As did our NCL Encore Haven balcony last year…thick padded ones too. So safety issues must be only a Celebrity excuse. 🙄
  17. Can you please remember to come back to this thread and tell us if there were loungers on that MC suite? And if not, if you had to request them and what was their response to that request. Thanks. This has me very concerned for our fall cruise on Beyond in a MC suite.
  18. This is exactly why we selected this cabin....for the space with the loungers on a cruise with multiple sea days. Now, it just looks like an empty dance floor. And we paid dearly for this cabin with that assumption of that deck furniture being there.
