    It is not personal about individuals. There were some very talented cast members from time to time. But one talented person cannot compensate for an overall unspectacular cast and an awful production from concept to choreography to costumes on crystal, silversea and now on seabourn there has been extraordinary talent plus great professional productions. Huge difference
  2. They don’t need to name names to accomplish this 50% of our beloved bartenders are returning whatever there are ways to do it his is not hard stuff same 2 possibilities Folks not returning in large numbers or marketing department clueless

  4. Wouldn’t you expect crystal to make such announcements (as it did re returning captains and cruise directors)? They can send in an email to all the former crystal cruisers on the list they paid for to encourage bookings. They know crew and staff are important. Two possibilities: those folks are not returning or their marketing department is clueless
  5. Very few believe it. Unsubstantiated guesstimates totally agree about crew old and new on every line
  6. Medical insurance is separate. GeoBlue gives us great annual coverage. The card is only for cancellation and interruption
  7. Hearsay lol very connected in the industry. You don’t have to book a line to know what’s going on
  8. Exactly what we do. Gives us 40k total coverage and triple points. When my husband fell ill suddenly in 2015 we had to cancel 5 cruises. Got every penny back
  9. Loyalty to compensation, not to any cruise line. Not surprising. Many of the crew support large families back home
  10. The initiative does not work well for everyone. I applied just to keep options open but I won’t be booking by the deadline if at all i also have friends who did the same. So that 900 number does not reflect those actually booking
  11. Not in our experience. Crew is wonderful. Service is exceptional. We are on 3rd week of cruise

    Agree excursions are awful but the rest is great we will do private tours going forward we also booked an explora cruise —for 2025. Looks incredible
  13. Regent and silversea also getting starlink ncl and rc have begun the process across their brands I’ll be on silver moon again in July. Hoping it’s installed by then eventually every cruise will have to have it to be competitive

  15. I upgraded to ph for extra space so I have streaming with 4 devices note: as with all ships under the carnival umbrella you cannot use vpn on board. But if you have streaming package you can use vpn as Paul said, internet on this ship has been strong and steady. last time I was on seabourn you had to pay for internet. I was delighted with the change in policy
  16. Fact it was crystal they knew or were totally inept if they didn’t know my ta knew. His commission check bounced Crystal, not genting, took our money as they saw unpaid bills and checks bouncing. facts

  19. You are implying it’s unique to crystal. It is not. You have not been on other ships in years. Public space is fabulous on some of the newer ships. I know you hate when we speak of other lines. But it is permissible and relevant.
  20. Time will tell. Plenty of public space on other lines. Not a big draw imo
  21. There’s no revenue derived from public space
  22. Much smaller and more intimate. One is like a yacht. Very different from symphony and serenity
