  1. Sorry, I was going by the section you cut and pasted. I do see it in the full document. And if everyone getting off the ship has to be tested two days before getting off, being tested three weeks earlier is useless...especially given the fact that no other NCL ships leaving from Rome require any testing (unless they stop in Bermuda).
  2. The only place this is stipulated is under the unvaccinated section. I would assume this holds for vaccinated, as well...but it doesn't say so. Their rules continue to be confusing. Having to be tested in Rome for our 16 day TA is senseless, for two reasons. NCL does not require testing in Rome. But Bermuda does?? Also, since you have to have a test two days before landing in Bermuda, that makes any embarkation testing useless. Bermuda is causing a lot of stress for us, because we run the risk of flying all the way to Rome, only to be stranded there, due to Bermuda's rule. And we can't test before flying to Rome because we fly out five days before embarking (Bermuda's rule is no more than four days).
  3. We are signed up for this one in October. We originally signed up for a Sunday night, but after reading reviews that many Rome restaurants are closed on Sundays (including a couple on this tour) we were able to move the reservation to a Monday. The Sunday tour focuses more on street food. https://www.eatingeurope.com/rome/twilight-trastevere/
  4. Just to point out the absurdity of the Bermuda rule further...if we were on an around the world cruise embarking in Rome (where no testing is normally required) that left six months before hitting Bermuda as our last stop, they would make us test before even embarking?? Even though we would have to be tested two days before getting to Bermuda. Something tells me if you tested positive a few days before embarking, you'd be over it 180 days later. And if not, they can always get you with the second test...which makes the first test moot. How lame and inane is that? I suppose it's their country and they can make up whatever lame rules they want...like charging everyone $40 and filling out a form, whether or not they get off the ship...no matter how crazy.
  5. What you pasted regarding testing prior to embarkation applies to cruises that take four days or less to get to Bermuda from the embarkation port. We will be arriving in Bermuda on day 15 of our cruise. All it says regarding four days or more from embarkation is a test no more than two days before coming ashore.
  6. Just don't go?? Seriously?? It's not like I have a choice...unless I jump ship between the Azores and Bermuda. And unless I want to cancel and eat the majority of our payment, since we're after final payment.
  7. The new rule states. "In order to disembark in Bermuda, unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated cruise passengers 12 years and older must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 2 days before arrival to Bermuda." So...the old rule said everyone, regardless of whether or not you are dismbarking, needed to be tested...at embarkation and again two days before landing in Bermuda. I assume this new rule eliminates the "embarkation testing"...which made no sense, since we are embarking in Rome 15 days before landing in Bermuda...where there is no testing requirement for NCL...only to be tested on the ship again two days before landing in Bermuda. So if it only applies to diembarking passengers, I can see where this will be a nightmare for cruise ship staff. Not only will they have to test the majority of passengers (those planning to disembark), but will also need to check the status of everyone who actually disembarks to make sure they've been tested. I'm now hoping that NCL decides to skip Bermuda altogether due to all the hoop-jumping required.
  8. Our November 1st TA is 16 days long, with Bermuda being the last stop before New York.
  9. You answered both of my questions (bringing on wine at a port stop and waiving the corkage fee with the Beverage Package). Thanks.
  10. And just as suddenly as it disappeared, it has now reappeared...for now, at least,
  11. And all of the Escape cruises from October through the end of the year have disappeared, as well...including our November 1st TA. What the hell is going on?????? Spoke with NCL this morning and they swear they see nothing canceled on their end.
  12. Agreed. If they take the time to send a detailed letter, they should take the time to send an ACCURATE letter.
  13. We had this one booked, but canceled it when we realized we could duplicate the tour on our own for far less than $170 for the two of us. They do get good reviews, however. https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g187497-d12650303-Food_Wine_and_History_Tour_with_La_Boqueria_Market-Barcelona_Catalonia.html
  14. I would think that after 19 years, they'd be over it by now. 😜
  15. We're on the Escape in November and even though they have a District Brewhouse, after reviewing their menu, the choices are not that great, if you ask me. NCL needs to up their craft beer game.
  16. WOW...I just refreshed my screen in Sail Safe and it now shows what @KeithJenner is showing. They must like the British more than Americans.
  17. They have already updated the Sail Safe website with the same info in the email. Highly doubtful both areas would be in error. For all sailings through September 2, 2022: All vaccinated guests, regardless of age, must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or NAAT test (i.e., PCR) taken within 2 days of the embarkation date for cruises originating in a U.S. or Canadian port and within 3 days of the embarkation date for cruises originating from a non-U.S./Canadian port.
  18. For European cruises it will be a challenge to have the test before you get on the plane. The test has to be done within three days of embarking. In our case, we fly out on Friday and the ship departs on Tuesday (four days). We would actually have to test on Thursday, since we leave early Friday morning to drive a couple hours to the airport. We are very much at risk of flying all the way there for nothing.
  19. Testing before you leave doesn't accomplish anything. You can easily catch something on the plane, in an airport, in a hotel, in a restaurant in Rome before trying to embark. That means you flew all the way there for nothing. This sucks...
  20. If I am interpreting the policy correctly, there is no corkage fee if you have the beverage package. I believe this is a recent change, as back in March people were quoting the $15 charge in may posts, regardless of the package. And yes, my other question was in regard to bringing on in ports, rather than initial embarkation.
  21. Just want to make sure I'm interpreting the NCL policy regarding bringing wine onboard correctly. In the past, everyone was subject to a corkage fee if wine was brought on and consumed on the ship. It now appears they have revised this policy to exclude passengers with the beverage package. Per NCL website: "Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below. 750 ml Bottle: $15.00 USD 1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 USD Corkage Fee is not applicable to guest with beverage package." I assume this rule applies to wine, not only brought aboard at initial embarkation, but also to wine bought during the cruise (as in our case, in Tuscany). My assumption is that we can buy wine in Tuscany, carry it onto the ship and take it to our cabin, with no corkage fee...since we have the beverage package...correct?
  22. I like the one on the right. Reminds me of rainbow sherbet. (NOTE: I said "sherbet"...one of my pet peeves is when people say "sherbert"...there is only one R in sherbet.and it's between the E and the B). I feel better now...
  23. Everything @CaptainBazzsays is correct. I was going to say pretty much the same thing but he beat me to the response. Just for kicks I checked to see if our restaurant reservations were still there for our November TA. Sure enough, still in the app and on the website.
  24. People are saying the Escape removed the mini-golf. That sucks...was looking to have a diversion while on sea days for our November TA 😡
