Walgreens says the results are within 24 hours, but according to the ID Now Abbott website the results are known in 15 minures.

That’s for their own protection. As I said earlier, my friend got her results in 40 minutes, but we got ours within 5 hours. We all were in the same vehicle and did the tests at the same time. I guess it depends on when they do the in house lab testing. I was a nervous wreck waiting after she got hers so fast!  I’ve read where others have gotten their results in 15 minutes, just depends on your Walgreens. This morning, I was able to schedule our tests for this Friday and we sail Sunday. Good luck!

  2. I don’t know why, other than they also have to test at embarkation, and again 24 hours prior to debarkation. They also have to pay an additional $150 for the testing. If you go to the link above, it explains all the things unvaccinated guests have to do.

  3. For our October 7 cruise, we mad our appointments on line, got 2 confirmation emails, one just confirming the appointments and telling you what to bring, then next day one with an actual confirmation number. That’s the one to print and take with you to the appointment.  There was 3 of us. We all did the test at the same time and left right at 10:00. One got her results in 40 minutes, and me and DH got ours 5 hours later. I was getting a bit nervous!  Anyway, all in all, it was pretty easy. Just made another appointment for this Friday for our Oct 31 cruise! Hope it goes as well.

  4. Zingy2 summed it up very well! I was glad someone besides me actually used Gatsbys Garden! It’s a beautiful area to relax, and very quiet! We did the Panama Canal on her and liked it so much we went on her again a few months later, then Carnival thought she should go to the west coast!  You will love the layout of this class ship, so easy to navigate! I wish she could come back to Florida! Enjoy your cruise!

@CeleBrat Here is a batch of 7 day Mardi Gras menus, you were asking for menus. Note we have to order bread now, I always enjoyed picking from the fresh basket they'd always bring out when we were seated.

I don’t see any attachments on this post or the one you posted for the 6 day menu. Probably like me, post and forget to attach, lol

  6. When we did the Panama Canal on Miracle, we were on deck 4 aft, starboard side. Our balcony was just right in my opinion. High enough to see everything! It was neat to see crew members come out on deck 3 below us to watch too. They acted like they were as excited as we were! All thru the transit, there was a lady narrating the whole thing, lots of history and general information. That was broadcast on the tv in the cabin, so if you wanted to see what was ahead you could go in and look. We even saw some monkeys in the trees! At one point we could see one of the mega ships going thru the new canal. Was interesting to watch another ship going in and out of the set of locks next to us!  I personally loved being close enough to see all the workings of the gates in and out of the locks. The ship is so close to the wall, it’s like you could almost reach out and touch it when the lock was emptying.. After going out into the lake for a couple hours, we turned around and went back. The return wasn’t nearly as interesting, not a lot of action on that side. All in all, it’s a fantastic cruise, my favorite out of 35 cruises! I’d love to do it again, and hope you enjoy your cruise as much as I did!

How far out could you book the Walgreens appointment?

Walgreens is 2 days out. We will sail on a Sunday, so will make our appointments for Friday on Wednesday morning earliest available. Go to Walgreens at appt time, do the test. First time we 3 did it in Early October, one got results in 40 minutes, 2 of us was almost 5 hours.  Easy easy and best part is FREE!

so people will get a new one if we filled out one months ago???

There are 2, can’t remember exactly when you get the first one, right after you book I think.  The other will show up in your Cruise Planner 72 hours prior to your sailing date. It’s basically the same questions.

  9. We did the Walgreens ID Now rapid tests for our October 7 Magic cruise. There were 3 of us being tested. One got her results within 40 minutes of leaving. My DH and I got our results 5 hours later.  I will be making another set of appointments for our Oct 31 cruise on Magic for next Friday.  If for some reason that doesn’t pan out, we have an urgent care we can go to for the tests, used them in August. Had results in 15 minutes but they cost $50 each and don’t accept insurance.

  10. Just off Magic Oct 11. They had the big Pumpkin Patch Pirate in the atrium, and decorations around all the railings. Since this was only a 4 day, they only had the big costume party on lido on the 3rd night. The cruise director said on 5+ days they do more. It was really neat. Going again October 31 so anxious to see what they do on actual Halloween and then the next day!

I just realized that my Cove cabin is right under the galley.

Are we going to have a noise problem?

    Thanks!

We were on Magic August 30 sailing. We also had a cove balcony, cabin #2369. Nice cabin, nice view, but unless you are a heavy sleeper, beware! Just about every night around 10:30 right after we went to bed, the chair dragging, table moving started, and then sometimes in the middle of the night it started too. The moving dragging/moving started again around 4:00!  I will never book another cabin below the galley!  If I were you and were able to do so, I’d move, or failing that, get some ear plugs or sleeping pills!

There is NO enforcement of arrival time in Port Canaveral. People with the earliest arrival time and boarding number have said they are behind 1000 people to get in and many have missed their boarding number. This is a failure on Carnival's side. They need to turn people away before they can even get in line to enter the terminal. Corral them back to the parking lot or away from the terminal entrance.

Right now and there has been no change, it is the Wild West. Get there when you want, clog the lines, clog the terminal, and laugh at the people behind you.

This is not true. August 30 cruise on Magic we had 12-12:30 time. Arrived right before 12, there was no line and they let us on in. October 7 on Magic, arrived 11:50. Was a long line outside to go in, they were going to send us to the back of the line, then because it was just at noon, told us to go on in the terminal. I’m not sure what times the long line people had, but we went in at our arrival time.  Going again October 31 with the same time slot, so we shall see how that goes.

How soon before cruise will we receive email to select arrival time? We sailing out of Port Canaveral and we are platinum. We’ve always just arrived early and are usually one of first on ship so this arrival check in time is new to us.

    Thanks.

As platinum, you are able to choose your arrival time 16 days prior to cruise. Regular check in is 14 days prior. Please note - you will not receive an email! Up to you to go into your cruise manager to complete your checkin at 16 days out.

As to arrival times, we’ve sailed twice from Port Canaveral since August. We had a 12-12:30 arrival time both times. First one arrived just a few before 12 but there was no line so they let us go on. Second 2 weeks ago, same arrival time, got there a few before 12, there was a pretty good line, and they were sending us into the long line, but changed their minds and let us go ahead of the line.

  14. Not required on our October cruise. You did have to show your vaccination papers and your negative test results. We took the taxi to Atlantis casino. They don’t take you on up to it now, just to the driveway. They have a security guard checking your id and vaccine and negative test paperwork. You also catch the taxi back at the same place.  I’m pretty sure it’s the same at the Baha Mar casino since I emailed them a few days before and they said the same thing, negative test within the last 5 days.
