  1. Go for deck 10 aft suites if you can. Their balconies are the deepest with 2 loungers, chairs and a little table. The ones at the end have a rear view and are curved, so you can see a bit of the side view too.
  2. I can only cruise in the summer (teacher), don't want to go to Europe or the Far East, but do need a break from as many children as possible.
  3. Chatham House on Front St. in Hamilton keeps expensive cubans under good conditions.
  4. Have stayed in deck 10 aft penthouse suites on Gem, Dawn, and Pearl. The bed doesn't separate. 2 people can sleep in the bed and the 3rd on the pull out from the little leather chair and a half.
  5. Anyone know what the barge is building next to the Joy right now? Looks like pieces of a walkway on the webcam.
  6. I've heard Willowbank is an alcohol free property. May want to check on that if it matters to you.
  7. As of April 2024 on the Gem, the Haven lunch menu is not the one posted. No Cobb salad, no lobster bisque.
  8. Last April on the Gem outside Cagney's they were advertising 2 specialty meals for 99 a person. Cheaper to buy ahead of time at 84 pp. I belive.
  9. Anyone tried the udon there?
  10. My vote is Moderno...amazing salad bar, good soups including lobster bisque, variety of meats. Don't miss grilled pineapple. Chocolate tres leches cake dessert.
  11. Definitely takes 2 for it to taste like coffee to me. Get some 1/2 and 1/2 in the buffet from a machine there and not just the creamer packets they'll leave in the cabin with the coffee maker.
  12. That's a huge amount. Surprisingly, someone currently on the Gem seems to have scored a forward suite. While I'm really happy for him, he originally said he had an inside and I don't think you can bid for a jump that many categories.
  13. For some reason, I can't open these, but as of April, the Gem's Haven lunch menu does not include some of the updates. I particularly remember no Cobb salad or lobster bisque. O'Sheehan's has the Cobb salad though.
  14. Do you remember what your stand out meals were?
  15. Has anyone posted pics of the new menus or are they just on the ncl site? I didn't read through all 6 pages here. Any items coming back? Like the chocolate fondue at LeBistro?
  16. There was/is also a book about a pandemic which starts/involves Bermuda. It might be the Bermua Virus. Came out in 1996. It would be interesting to read it again given the events of the last few years.
  17. There are a few non haven suites. Most of the haven perks, just that you can't use the haven pool area and sundeck. Still priority embark and disembark, butler and concierge, and (my favorite) breakfast and lunch in Moderno's/Cagney's.
  18. Nice deep balconies on 10. 2 loungers can face right out at the wake.
  19. If you look for Breakaway dailies, someone may have posted a pic of the back page which lists hours for different services. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  20. One of the main dining rooms is open. Which ship?
  21. That is true. Dawn and perhaps Jewel don't either.
  22. Except Gem and Pearl have never updated their lunch menu to include lobster bisque and cobb salad.
  23. Thanks! We stayed in a deck 15 last summer. Looking for a less expensive option.
  24. Hello All, Anyone know if there's any difference in balcony sizes for the Haven suites in the complex? Just looking at a one bedroom, don't need the 2 bedroom type. I do know they tend to be on the smaller side. Thanks!
