  1. Thanks for this info. We’re on Reflection with you now, and are doing B2B for the next voyage. Moving from Penthouse Suite to Reflection Suite though, so have to have our stuff moved. I’m guessing from what you stated that will be a non-event and they’ll take care of everything.
  2. We are on the first 3-day of the season on the 26th if this month that is leg 2 of our B2B. Expecting it to be more "Carnival-like" than our other Celebrity experiences and plan to spend lots of time on the balcony. Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised. We've found the longer the cruise, the more behaved/civilized people are.
  3. This baby and some Sushi from the Lido, and you’re good to go if staying in a balcony room. I found trolling rather challenging though so it’s better when you are in ports.
  4. More like an ex-wife for me…..I pay Celebrity each year the equivalent of what alimony would be!
  5. I think this all varies depending on the ship and the onshore concierge. Our last trip on Celebrity, in a Penthouse Suite on Constellation, we received both a phone call and an email. All dining reservation requests (including Luminae at a specified time) were taken care of. Our next trip in April is a b2b on Reflection. First leg in the Penthouse Suite, second in the Reflection Suite. No phone call, no email - I had to initiate by a call to the Retreat line. We requested dining reservations for each night at a specific time, and were told that they could not do that - and moved us to another time. I'm guessing our Butler will be able to change these for us, but bottom line is that our treatment was vastly different this time.
  6. My parents owned a travel agency in the 70s and 80s. Above Dad’s desk was a sign: “If you can afford to fly first class and don’t, your heirs will”.
  7. Not everyone who stays like that is wealthy. We work and save up to make our cruises special. And we read this forum. And we don’t have personal assistants. For us, we’d rather travel like that and go less often.
  8. We will be in that suite in 5 weeks. I will post about our experience. I am more worried about noise from the lounge next door.
  9. Four adults in one room - it'll be so crowded you'll need to speak in abbreviations.
  10. If you select “query” you can see future dates. For the 30th it’s showing 19.
  11. Make sure you select option 3 - if you choose the “already reserved” option, you get forwarded to regular sales. 3 will get you Retreat folks.
  12. Just to set expectations - HAL Club Orange is just a separate seating area (or venue depending on ship class) with the regular Dining Room menu plus one Club-Orange-Only entree. Service is typically better and more attentive than in the Dining Room. Also - it is not open for lunch.
  13. Bunco - when you are in IC - are you typically a party of more than 2? Is it overkill for 2?
  14. FINALLY!!!! Something’s advantageous about not having hair.
  15. Good to know. Thanks for the clarification.
  16. We had the same thing. No way I’m going to call for a cup of coffee. Besides, I like walking around early when hardly anyone is around and you feel the ship “waking up”.
  17. There was a coffee/espresso maker and an electric tea kettle in the pantry of the PS. You can see them in YouTube videos for that cabin.
  18. Sorry - to qualify previous post….we were in a PH on Constellation last year. We had Sushi on 5 in our room. I just assumed we could from any of them and could very well be mistaken.
  19. So we were not allowed to use the kettle that they provided? No one ever said anything. I’ll report myself next time.
  20. If you are in an upper suite, you can also order from the Specialty Restaurants.
  21. That is false if you are told that they are "not authorized for use". We had one in our cabin on Rotterdam in November. Can't imagine that a kettle is safe to use only as long as it's in a suite.
  22. I would give them a call and have them link the two. You should also get a very small (in our case $50) off each leg. The amount goes up I think for longer trips - we are doing b2b for a 5 night followed by a 3 night.
  23. We were on board Rotterdam in November - there was plenty of cigar smoking in the designated area. They were enforcing the limits of the area (i.e. only under the covered area of the deck). There was even a guy with a 2 foot high Hookah there.
  24. Grew up in a Travel Agent family. Dad had a sign in his office: “If you can afford to go first class and don’t - your heirs will”. We know we could cruise more often for what we pay, but we want to make our trips extra special so we save up and get an upper suite. We too are thankful for the opportunities.
