  1. What we need is a Uri Geller special where we all stick a spoon on the TV and together will Carnival to drop it all.
  2. Do it Carnival! No more testing! I can fly to the US from the UK knowing I'll definitely be allowed on the ship!
  3. I bloody love you NCL! Not because I have a cruise upcoming with you but the fact that everyone else will drop it now (if they want to stay in business)!
  4. Clearly a cost cutting exercise from Carnival. What will be next? Those that say these changes won't affect you, maybe the next one will. We have a Carnival cruise booked for October but this may be the last one to be honest. We're from the UK and my wife is desperate to go to Platinum (we're not far away) but I don't think that is ever going to happen now!
  5. I wonder if The Bahamas are targeting pre testing & Carnival specifically due to the number of CCL ships that go there? That being said, Heald very recently said it is applicable to ALL cruise lines yet nothing from Virgin or MAS. Someone is wrong, political games are afoot and it is the passengers who will suffer. It will be interesting to see what RCL publish about this ahead of their 8th August timescale
  6. It's in blue at the top of the letter. It says the change in protocols are effective for all sailings from the 4th August to the 31st December. I'd love this to not be the case though! Have I read this wrong?
  7. NCL have to drop it completely otherwise the question will be, "Why have you dropped it in Europe (barring Greece) completely but not the US?" How are they going to answer that without offending their biggest market?
  8. So according to the letter these new protocols announced will be in place until the end of the year? I'm not convinced that the "more changes to be made shortly" element will affect any of these three bullet point statements. Am I wrong?
  9. I think NCL are in a bit of a pickle at the minute. They dropped testing in all ports that they could and now they are able to drop it in the US they are hesitating. Are they saying that it is riskier to cruise out of the US? That Americans have more COVID? Their silence is doing them no favours
  10. I'm wondering if it's a bit of a marketing gimmick. I mean how many people have been threatening to cancel their RCL cruise because other lines have stopped testing? Maybe this gives those with upcoming RCL cruises just enough hope to not cancel?
  11. I think all they have done is made the people who want testing unhappy and people who don't want testing unhappy! At least before it was just the people who wanted no testing who were unhappy! Bravo!
  12. Oh for goodness sake RCL! You know that most take cruises that are 7 nights or longer. Stop with the gestures and the "we are taking action" and get rid!
  13. Have you ever met someone on the first night of a cruise and then never seen them again? If so, then you're hardly confined.
