  1. It could have been changed Dec 2, but IDK for sure. I am not relying on the App either. Many people have not even downloaded the App due to various reasons. They must rely on what the website tells them CruiseHealth tool, etc. What a mess. We’ll know soon. 😳
  2. No specific email or instructions in the cruise personalizer or travel summary. It was the same, general guidelines on the cruiseHealth tool as now. The App is a little different this time. It did ask for a photo/upload of negative test results. Which you upload 48 hrs before sailing. I don’t remember anything about self test or photo of self test, date, etc.
  3. You would assume they know, but that’s not been the case. That might be what is happening as far as clarity in the wording. I believe, IF there is a change, we should get an email directly from PCL, stating the important notice for our cruise. Others on an Enhanced Voyage did get a notice by email that a self test is acceptable and that was about 2 weeks before sailing. Can’t remember which one it was. Not mine, of course! 😆
  4. I have never lost complete connection with the proctor. Had a little intermittent internet connection issue, but not enough to matter. Proctor came back on and said no problem. You might call Emed and ask that question. Let us know what they say. I’m booking a backup test with a CVS for the aftn, just in case there is a problem. If I don’t need it, then I’ll cancel it. The Emed test is so easy and convenient that I’d prefer to do it, if we have to test.
  5. Yes! Let’s hope so, but I’m not counting on it. We just have to prepare for it anyway. I don’t want to start out a cruise with stress! So, keep in touch.
  6. The excursion is over at 1:15, so it should be the time of arrival at Heathrow. They wouldn’t leave you at Windsor. The excursions desk at PCL should know this. If this is a debark tour or transfer they take you to the airport. You also have to put flight information in, when you book the transfer/tour. You need to checkin at LHR at most carriers, 3 hours before departure.

  8. Yes, they did look at the expiration on the box. Mine expired on that day. Lol They are mailing out ones now that only have a couple of months left. I’m trying to wait until 2 weeks before sailing, hoping to either get a better expiration date or clarification from PCL that we still need medically observed. Good luck with the clarification…😳
  9. One of the last interpretations from a PCL manager said: That’s the same as proctored. You self administer in front of a medical person, which could be in person at a pharmacy or observed by a proctor when you do it yourself. The wording is really goofy. But, same wording on our enhanced in Nov and it WAS required. Whichever you did to test…..it had to be medically observed…that could be medically observed In person test (say CVS) OR medically observed by self administered (like an emed proctor). The first sentence says: REQUIRED. The next 2 bullets try to explain the choices of tests, but it says ALL REQUIRED MEDICALLY OBSERVED. Of course, the App is another story. Like I said before, we had over 200 that showed up without the medically observed test and denied boarding at San Pedro. Scrambling to go to urgent care, overwhelmed, then medical came out to the terminal and tested them all after the port authorities became involved. They were lucky to get on. They had been told incorrectly by a PCL agent. They need to correct the language. If they were going to only require a self test, then they should send out an email to those on the voyages and change the wording. So yes, unless I see it in writing, I’ll purchase emed about 2 weeks before and make a backup appmt at CVS.
  10. OBC is to be used once your “on board”. Exception, you can use it to purchase excursions pre cruise, except TA OBC sometimes is only available once OB. We have always waited until OB to book SD and not had a problem. However, with 6 people, it’s a little harder, especially if you are on a shorter cruise, full ship or holiday period.
  11. BTW, I did ask the head pastry chef at PCL to make the chocolate melting cake once, and they did for all the MDR’s the next evening. 😂 It was on the menu that night. Very nice. Don’t tell anyone, but it wasn’t quite as good as CCL. It’s the thought that counts. 😁
  12. A week later….no update yet? Your So Pacific is what we just did on the Crown in Nov/Dec and we DID need medically observed self administered, in other words proctored tests. The TA Enchanted March 9, 23 is also on the Enhanced Voyages and reads the same as yours, I believe. Could you verify that terminology as well, when you talk with upper management? This is the CruiseHealth tool info which differs from the FAQ and the App upload information, as you know. TIA Enhanced Protocols This specific booking and/or voyage follows our COVID-19 Enhanced Protocols for vaccination and testing requirements. Vaccination Requirements All guests 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated. A booster dose is required for guests 18 years of age and older whose final dose of an approved/authorized COVID-19 vaccine is older than 5 months. Testing Requirements All guests ages 5 and older are required to take a medically observed COVID-19 Test. PCR or medically observed Antigen COVID-19 test taken within 3 days prior to embarkation, or Medically observed or self-administered antigen home test taken within 3 days before embarkation. Please upload all required documentation to the MedallionClass app for a quick and seamless embarkation process.
  13. That’s an old post. Depends on the SD you have. If it’s a promotional SD included or Suite free one, you will see 0 charged when you book it. If you have OBC and you want to use it for SD, yes it is to be used OB. We’ve never had a problem booking the SD. I just call the Dine line in the room 1st or 2nd day and book my SD, or as we go along. Some of the shorter 7 day cruises may be a little harder if they are full.
  14. Just adding: You’re either doing Caribbean or Panama Canal, so you’ll have a nice mixture of people and ages. The shows are better on PCL and you may enjoy MUTS…movies under the stars.
  15. Why did they do away with no smoking in the casino on formal nights after the restart? Anyone know?
  16. We also have status with CCL, RCCL and PCL. CCL is the fun ship, but we got tired of the short cruises, rowdy crowds and the amusement park ships coming out on CCL and RCCL also. We like the laid back, relaxed atmosphere on PCL. You will find a big difference in the atmosphere. The food is a little better on PCL. However, no one can beat Guy’s burgers on CCL. I miss Pig and Anchor and the chocolate melting cake. To be fair, CCL was very good to us and we did long cruises on their “journeys” and had great times. Wonderful staff at all of them. The bidding system….just go to the Princess forum here on CC and you will get a lot of great information. Believe it’s “Hows the bidding going” or something like that. You will just have to judge for yourself. Welcome to Princess! “Come feel the love.” 💕
  17. Look at the website version of the App and look at DMW. It may show your original DMW at the Cielo. Take a screenshot of it. It’s an App issue, so you may be holding both reservations. The MDR Mgr will have to fx this if your leaving in 2 days. Have a great cruise!
  18. Yes, that is an issue. You should have the same username and pw as on the website. You may have 2 accounts also. You may need to call in and have them make sure there is only one account under your name. They should be able to fix that and make sure you only have one account, one Captain Circle number, etc. Never try to link, never reregister… only confuses things.
  19. I wonder if the proctors have the relevant expiration dates.
  20. Emed is very efficient, professional and easy to do. Results in minutes by email and a QR code. 2 pack https://store.emed.com/s/product/2pack-covid19-telehealth-kit/01t8c00000PlYLZAA3 or a 2 pack or 3 pack https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-emed-at-home-test-kit-3-pack/
  21. Maybe easier for alcohol/soda switch, but assume if you switch for coffee packages, it would have to be RS.
