we were definitely able to select our own seats. We always choose the fire exit row for the extra leg room. There was an extra charge, but for an international flight, it was a necessity for me.

Is the Thermal Spa pass still worth it (2024)?
PhillyTravelBug replied to 1412p0oi's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I would never do a sailing without purchasing a pass. If you are on one of the away class ships, it is definitely worth it. The views in Alaska while sitting on the tile loungers is priceless. We sailed the bliss in Alaska and it is worth every penny. -
I used the BOGO air for the first time and was concerned with it being an international flight, but had quite a positive experience. There were some hiccups with a weather delay for a connection, but had plenty of time and actually worked in our favor. I would use again, but only if using the 2 day deviation to allow for delays.

White Pass Railway & Yukon Expedition
PhillyTravelBug replied to cruise*enthusiast's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I did the 6 hour train ride up into the Yukon in 2019, with the van ride back. It was the best excursion I have ever done. -
NCL website only works well on Chrome?????

Site works fine on my Mac. Also works fine if I don’t log in and search, but if I log into my account and try to search cruises I get this. Very frustrating. -

Alesund is picturesque and a very enjoyable port to explore on foot. -
Viva Review (12/2/23-12/6/23)

Like your mom perspective. Sailing the prima, I felt the same way with the buffet. I would like to experience the ship in a warm climate sailing, but will wait for the Aqua ship. -
Best NCL itinerary for Norwegian fjords
PhillyTravelBug replied to bongju's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Did Georanger over the summer. I looked at my partner and said, “this is in the top 5 best days of my life.” It’s amazing. Alaska and Norway are tough to decide which one is better, but Norway barely edges out. It’s amazing. I would do an itinerary that is just Norway. NCL has seemed to end those sailings. -
We actually walked from our hotel to the port. It is a hike (2 miles), but it's along the water and scenic if the weather is nice.

Which itinerary would you pick?
PhillyTravelBug replied to Mademoiselle22's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I've been eyeing up some of the same itineraries for 2025. I would choose #2. -
Enjoy your sailing! We did lunch in Hudson’s the first day too and it was such a smart choice. Enjoy the ship. Would love to sail again in a warmer climate to enjoy the outdoor amenities. Not sure if you have the thermal spa pass. My biggest complaint was having the gym above, other than that the ship is amazing!

NCL's false advertising (-40/50%)

Exactly. They ran the same deal as their Black Friday deal. Which one is it? Make up your minds. 😜 -
This itinerary is a bucket list trip of mine. Can’t wait to hear how it goes for you.

Onda and Paloma are part of the three dining package. We ate at Onda, Los Lobos (which exceeded all expectations and was our favorite), and the hibachi. Onda included an app, entree, and dessert.

Everything.. Norwegian Aqua / Prima class #3

These are all good improvements , especially Syd’s. -
We had a large party. If it weren’t for that, definitely not necessary.

We were able to reserve in the MDR on our recent Prima sailing.

I have sailed its sister ship, the Getaway, and I would recommend the thermal spa. It is an upcharge, but I find it the best way to relax as I'm not one for sitting in the sun.

NCL newby here looking for some input.....
PhillyTravelBug replied to SPacificbound's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I thoroughly enjoyed the prima. Since you are sailing in a warm climate, the outdoor space will be utilized more than our sailing in Iceland and Norway. You can glimpse through my detailed trip report if you want to see photos and commentary to get a feel. I would prefer to sail the new aqua ship, but I would sail the primary or viva again. Mediterranean itinerary guidance
PhillyTravelBug replied to PhillyTravelBug's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
thank you. We will do time before and after, but may only be a day on each end. It would make sense to do the Rome arrival and departure, but would be nice to see Croatia too. Appreciate the advice.
