When you get on the ship check the kiosk for the restaurant and bring up.the " dining experience " I believe it's called.. It will say like 59.00 a person. One app, one main and one dessert. I can only seem to find an old one online..

No we did not get the extra credit. From what I read under the perk section that went to people who book months to year in advance. We booked only a few weeks out. The " tasting menu " has plenty on it . I thought for sure it would be miniscule portions.. It's full portions. Do not eat much at lunch and take a walk before you go to make room! I had the filet and husband had the double lamb chops. I hope you have the same experience.

We just got back on Sunday on the Mera. We were lucky to have not had some of the experiences others have had. And no, we were not YC, just a window room on Deck 5, Fantastica. 35 min from shuttle bus to boarding ship, dinners ( Panorama ) we less than an hour in and out. Food in MDR was ok . Sometimes buffet was better. Was it perfect, not at all. As stated, no washcloths ( actually I found some on a cart and lifted 2) , no Kleenex ( given extra toilet paper but, it works)., Only pay movies in your room ( 10.00). Staff are hard workers doing best they can. We status matched to Diamond so we had some extra perks. Best one was a free meal at a specialty restaurant. Any cruise is better than sitting at home .

We just got off Mera , husband matched to Diamond and since I was able to go as a " guest" I didn't bother with the match. My match from years ago have me gold. BTW..Butchers Cut was fantastic !

On a 2 week cruise we have enough OBC to cover most things so we did not get a package. My question is similar. Can I buy the internet halfway thru and pay for 7 days not 14 ? I miss the free 250 min perk we used to get !

We got status matched to Diamond on our upcoming cruise . We have sailed with them before but the benefits are new to us. How did you set the free specialty dinner reservation ? We do not need fancy so Procsecco and macaroons are fine with us.

We leave Sunday and same issue. Luckily I have a TA and she was able to get them. Don't wait for it to work, it never does.

I checked in on the website and used the chat feature and she gave me a boarding time..

Darn, was hoping for tacos, sausages or something different. No problem I am.sure we won't starve.😝 It will be our first time and just hoping weather holds.enough to be able to dock.

Do the food trucks have the same food as the buffet area or different choices? Thanks

We got status match to Diamond so we booked a cruise on MSC next month to give it a try. My question on the tasting menu perk.....how do they acknowledge that ? Is it a set time and restaurant they set for you or a coupon in your room you take to a venue? All new to me. Thank you

Thank you. I thought the card has to be done as soon as you got on. Good to know . LOL, how strange are those amounts ??? We also.prepaid the gratuities . Our TA warned us they do things differently and to try to get things in order prior to boarding.

We have registered our CC but have seen stories that once in board it doesn't show up. Do you think it best to stand in line at the kiosk to double check ? Also, is there a way to check ( kiosk.or tv) your daily bill ? Trying to avoid standing in line at the service desk . Thank You

Princess has medallions not cards and first time I tried it was refused. They said they didn't know what a black medallion meant.Husband has an online account and was able to find the word " Elite" for them to see and it was accepted. I do not have a separate online account and from what I see he can " invite" me to some perks. I hope it's for the upcoming cruise as it's a trial run on MSC after many years away cruising other lines. My advise, like others....keep trying. Reps are new and don't know all the rules yet.

Enjoyed your perspective. I imagine your dinners were relaxed staying away from the diningroom. I always dread the first night when it's a cluster. We just booked this morning for a January cruise. We have cruised with MSC 4 times but not recently so it will all be new again. I wondered about the muster drill and glad to hear they have adopted the tv view and go check in as others have. Good to know. Thank you

We have a cruise in March and thinking of cancelling the Medallion order as no one at Princess seems to be able to answer IF we will be charged as we have the Standard package and have already made final.payment . Are we grandfathered in ? I have a receipt of zero balance but are all prior orders voided ? I don't mind picking them up at the pier. A few minutes of our cruise.Also thinking of prepaying the grats. Our perks are fading fast!

We bring our own bar soap too just in case they say no soap available.. Also not a fan of the liquids. The coffee recently ( Nov 23) on the Caribbean Princess at the buffet was punishment . They still have the syrup and when you pulled the lever mostly syrup and very little water mixed. By day 3 they shut down all the spigots ( I think it's what to call them). They still have the old barroom looking spigots that are supposed to dole out coffee and hot water. Coffees more like Mrs Butterworth syrup and water in our shower was hotter than the tea water there. Must have been an issue as they covered them up. I don't mind going to the cafe and wondered for our 14 days of I should buy the card ? I don't do fancy, plain brewed is fine so may have to just do a little math. Thank you for your imput.

We are traveling for 2 weeks on the Emerald Princess and have a few questions for those on it recently or currently. Does the International Cafe have salads available ? Just off Caribbean Princess and surprised to see only sandwiches ( tuna, egg salad,and cheese) and desserts . Cutbacks I guess. Is the coffee in the buffet the syrup kind ? We are staying with Princess standard with the new price increases and thinking of getting the coffee card. Any other changes both good or bad we should be aware of. Thanks in advance.

Wholeheartedly agree with everyone on this. If it were April I would have thought it was an April Fools.joke. Just what every senior over 70 needs....sugary desserts and gym classes. Unless it's a long cruise we too take the basic fare. It's now becoming even more appealing. I can understand the raise in gratuities as all lines are doing that. But the rest of those " perks" are a joke. If prices become comparable it may be time to give our $$ to other lines. They are not showing us our loyalty means anything. Time for John to go.

We were on it too and have to agree with what you said. We only ate in the mdr 2 nights due to the issues and yes, the food is now..meh. Better choices at the buffet. First time for us in Sabitinis and looking forward to booking that venue again on the next cruise. I do believe all did best they could to make it a good cruise. We use Park and Go to avoid the fiasco at the parking garage. Off the ship at 7:45, shuttle was right there, and on the road home by 8:20! Next cruise, March. Already repacking 😁
