  1. Most people around here have wall calendars. They’re normally freebies from the oil supplier or various traders with room to make notes. In fact, farm kitchens might have more than one.
  2. You’re probably right there! I hate any reality shows or so-called celebrity shows so I have no idea who most of the people mentioned in this thread are! I don’t even like celebrity versions of shows that I watch like Bake Off or Sewing Bee. The only exception was Celebrity Across the World because they had another family member with them and I didn’t really know who they were in the first place!
  3. I tend to stick to water! Goes with everything.
  4. That’s a bit harsh! ICF works in hospitality so probably knows a lot about working conditions in the industry,
  5. It really doesn’t bother me what people wear. I’m always pretty chilled on cruises and just enjoy seeing people having a good time. As a former teacher, I have a few Christmas jumpers so I would have gone for the jumper option too.
  6. I agree. Liverpool would work well for us, but Fred’s prices are soooo high. And they’re only Terraced balconies.
  7. We’re just back from a two night stay in Manchester. 9 of our group went to see Peter Kay last night and I went to the cinema with my daughter. The Christmas markets were very busy and cheerful. Love city breaks but couldn’t live there!
  8. The tech people at work advised me to use Edge with Windows 11.
  9. Thanks. I do that every month but will do it again tomorrow. None of the shore excursions I was interested in are included in the offer though!
  10. It’s now showing the deals - on my iPad! Doesn’t show on my desktop using Edge for some reason! Very strange. Tried again n my desktop. Doesn’t show with Edge but works ok with Chrome!
  11. Very strange. I don’t get what you can see! I’ve tried without logging in and I’ve also logged into both cruises. In my cruise personaliser, for both criuses, I simply don’t have a Deals tab, unlike the page shown a few posts above by Shelbourne. I’ll have another go tomorrow!
  12. I’ve tried again. On both cruises (Iona and Aurora), I don’t have any offers at all. 😢😢😢
  13. I’ve done that, and there are no offers at all for either of them!
  14. Looking through the listed cruises, one of our booked cruises is listed under deals, but the other isn’t, so that theory doesn’t wash.
  15. When I access the P&O homepage, without logging in, I get this. If I click ‘Deals’ in red, I just get a list of cruises. I wonder whether the internet/drinks/shorex deals are just for these cruises?
  16. I’ve tried again. In the actual Cruise Personaliser for the booked cruises, my tab headings are different. After ‘Internet’, I don’t have ‘Gifts’, just ‘Travel Extras’. No ‘Deals’ in red! When I click through the e-mail sent by P&O, I land on the page where you access the CP and then, nothing else to indicate any savings!
  17. I’ve re-read this thread carefully and have gone into my Cruise Personaliser again for both cruises. I can’t see a black bar anywhere!
  18. I’ve had a look at the shore excursions for our two booked P&O cruises and made several dummy bookings. All I can see is the 8.5% Med Tier discount. I haven’t already booked any so can’t tell whether the Black Friday saving has already been deducted from the stated price. Both cruises are very different in terms of ships, destinations, length and cost.
  19. Older motorcyclists are a real pain on some roads here in Wales. They often overtake in the most silly places and in the summer months, you hear of fatalities every weekend. I don’t think car drivers are trying to kill them, more that some of them seem to have a death wish themselves!
  20. We don’t like to rush even in these modern times! Similar really to our Uber journey from central London to Stanmore back in June. Stop-start all the way. Don’t think we got to 30mph at all!
  21. That’s entirely up to you! Goos luch? Is that London speak for Good luck?
  22. I read the review during my coffee breaks and would also like to thank you for such a detailed and enjoyable read.
  23. Not sure why you’d never sleep! Anyway, we’re getting used to it now and it’s actually ok. If it saves just one life, then it’s worth it.
  24. We sailed for 17 nights on Aurora in August 2015 with our then teenagers as it was then a family ship. We then did 17 nights on Aurora in August 2018 and by then it was adults only. To be honest, it didn’t feel any different!
