  1. You can see the schedule for your sailing in the Journey View activities timeline in the app. It can populate as much as 60 days before sailing
  2. If you can’t see the link, just Google CCL Stockholder Benefit https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/50351a91-4dc0-4f6b-bfec-684647e6129f
  3. The problem with going directly to a table is that there is always a chance that it is still occupied or hasn't been cleared. I think staff want to be sure that tables are ready before people approach them. It would work great for people who want to eat when the MDR first opens though.
  4. I think restaurants do assign specific tables to parties at least sometimes. I see reserved signs on tables pretty frequently. It's especially common in restaurants with desirable views or outdoor spaces, etc.
  5. I haven’t had that experience. Our reservation always seems to be for the time and dining room we book not changed to the same every night
  6. The last two cruises I was on had separate lines for those who were walking in and those with reservations. I think it’s common now.
  7. We generally book between 7:00 and 7:30 and in 5 cruises haven’t had a problem with having wait. A few times we’ve requested a specific table and been given the choice to wait or be seated elsewhere if the people there before us were taking more time than expected.
  8. Traditional dining has been gone for over a year. There are no more set early and late seatings where you are assigned to a table and dining partners for your cruise. It is possible for a party who know each other to reserve for the same time and MDR each evening with Dine My Way though.
  9. Looking for the next 12 months the app is showing as no charge except late night for my upcoming cruises.
  10. You can usually see which nights are scheduled as formal nights in the Journey View activities timeline in the app. Every evening will show either “casual” or “formal” portraits. I’ve seen it populate as much as a couple of months before a cruise.
  11. I couldn’t agree more. I love how the app makes reserving easy and always use it to check menus, especially now that they can be seen days ahead of time. It had some issues for me on my first cruise after the restart but since then it’s worked nearly perfectly. In addition to the benefits you mention, I find using the chat function to be a huge improvement over having to visit guest services and finding shipmates is also very handy. I miss it on other lines.
  12. I don’t think traditional dining will ever return. It worked perfectly in the old days of cruising when the only option for dinner was the main dining room. With the many options available today, from specialty restaurants, the buffet, room service etc, it makes it much more difficult to keep tables of random strangers filled at the same time for every night of a cruise. Pre-COVID, a pet peeve of even those who love traditional dining had been that they were left sitting alone at a table full of empty seats when their table mates choose another option for dinner.
  13. Can that bottle be brought to the dining room without a corkage fee?
  14. Yes, make a copy of the statement showing your name and the ownership of the shares blacking out everything else. Attach it to an email with the required details. The email addresses and specifics are here
  15. It seems that everyone uses the example of a medical situation that would require them to disembark the ship but I always worry more about an emergency at home that would require me to leave the ship and rush back. I would hate not to be able to get home quickly, especially if something were to happen to a family member.
  16. Panama Canal cruises as well as those that visit Martinique or Guadalupe require passports. It is clearly stated on the booking summary as well as in the app
  17. Is the problem that you can’t scan the QR code to open the list? Does it just fail to scan?
  18. You can see which nights are scheduled as formal nights in the Journey View activities timeline in the app. Every evening will show either “casual” or “formal” portraits. I’ve seen it populate as much as a couple of months before a cruise.
  19. I was on the Sky Princess last month and the food in the MDR was good, the best I’ve ever had on a Princess ship. It was much better than on the Emerald last spring or than my last Princess cruise pre-Covid. I can’t imagine how awful the food on a single cruise would have to be to make me cancel future bookings and never sail with a line again. MDR food is almost never exciting.
  20. You can see the times for your sailing in the Journey View activities timeline in the app. I’ve seen it populate as much as 60 days before a cruise
  21. Thanks! I could see how close they are but you never know about barriers etc.
  22. Doing a side to side next year we’ll be coming into Berth 92 at the World Cruise Terminal and boarding the second ship at Berth 93. Is it easily walkable?
  23. It’s for exactly this reason that I park off-site. If I have to take a shuttle or taxi anyway the advantage of parking in the garage isn’t worth it to me
  24. They do not have expiration dates. The agent is confused
