Good morning. It is sunny but cool 39°C here in North East England. Nothing planned for today as my knee and hip arthritis is painful. The lawn people are coming out to put weed and feed/fertilizer on our back and front lawns today. I hope everyone is safe and in good health and y'all have a good day.

Good morning. It is 4°C and sunny here. The lawn people who put weed and feed on our lawns text at 7am saying they are treating the lawns this morning. Fortunately Pauline cut the front grass yesterday but has had to go out and hour ago to cut the back grass 🥴. My hip and knee arthritis prevents me from cutting the grass. I hope everyone else has a restful day.

This is what I sometimes use for my hip and knee arthritis. It keeps my hips in line and stops my knee's rubbing together.

Well said Kalos. I saw 2 of my favourite uncles die in their mid 50s through smoking. If I had carried on smoking that could have been me too.

It is tough Jane. I stopped smoking after several attempts when I was 21 years old. The secret was my mind set. I convinced myself I hated smoking and wrote down everything bad about smoking in case I ever wavered. Shortness of breath. Dying of cancer. Dying younger if I didn't stop. Clothes smelling of smoke. Breath smelling of smoke. Fingers yellow with nicotine stain. Hands smelling of smoke. Cost of cigarettes and what I could spend that money on. I never wavered and it is over 46 years now since I stopped. My doctor was anti smoking and my list and story I wrote down he used and it helped numerous people stop smoking. You are not overlooked from deck 16 which is good. You are shaded but if it rains you can still use your balcony. We have had Aft deck 14 balconies on 3 occasions on Iona and you get fantastic views from the back of the ship. There was sail away parties on deck 16 but quiet later on.

October is the best time to go there imo. It is still warm. The school holidays are over so it is quieter. It is near the end of the summer season so better prices in the shops.

Nice photos Sandi. I videod our visits so no photos to post. A good tip is go to the cable car entrance as soon as you get off the tender because the queues get very long to get the cable car up to the town above.
