Anyone seeing any Covid counts on RC ships?
Sunshine3601 replied to Jingerwoppy's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The average person tests positive 5 days after contracting the virus. If you got off the ship 5 days before your test you may got it anywhere you were. Hope you feel better! At this point of time, everyone knows about covid how do the cruiselines need to be more transparent? -

As of April 30th Royal will no longer pay for quarantine expenses, per their website. They recommend travel insurance. -
Boarding time for B2B cruise
Sunshine3601 replied to luckybecky's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Doesn't matter what time you pick for 2nd leg. You will love doing a b2b especially if you have same cabin. Yes, you may leave the ship after you do the checkin process for b2b cruisers. Each ship handles slightly different. Link your cruise booking together or go to guest services the first or 2nd day when line is smaller and make sure they have you on list for b2bers. You will then get instructions in your cabin later in the week. Sometimes they will give you a transit pass to leave the ship or you just use the new sea pass card you get that morning. -
I did the same with $1000 and ended up with 2400 points. We have enjoyed being prime for a couple years.

Go to clubroyaleoffers.com on a weekly basis to check for new offers. We usually get a snail mail flyer but never get an offer via email. You can upgrade cabin at a cheaper rate than what you see online.

reserving dining when buying dining plan? Anthem?
Sunshine3601 replied to elaine5's topic in Royal Caribbean International
When you board Anthem go to Wonderland front desk and make whatever reservations for whatever restaurants you want. Enjoy😃 Also, Wonderland is a nice choice too. I highly recommend everyone try it at least once. Jamie's has a nice outdoor patio so if you dine there and want the patio pick a nice warm evening. -

I wouldn't worry about it. Go on your cruise and have fun! -

Specialty dining package on RCCL
Sunshine3601 replied to Marken's topic in Royal Caribbean International
On our January sailing that had less than 40% capacity they were offering 50% off speciality restaurants but on our March sailings that were near 80% capacity the deals were nowhere near as good when capacity was substantially less. Our Head Waiter in MDR did get our Son and his Fiance a fabulous deal for Izumi for dinner but that was an exception to offers others were getting. If they have low bookings for specialty restaurants for your sailing then you may get a better deal but unknown until you get onboard. I would Not count on getting an offer onboard for 50% off especially if your sailing during prime season and a full ship. -
On the phone they say 30-days for refunds, majority of mine have been done in 7 +/- days. If you don't have refund by middle or end of May then I would call. Their phone lines are very busy these days.

Thank you so much for your wonderful Live Review. I love your style of writing and your photos are all beautiful. I hope you found room for one of those pink octopus. I have never done a TA but have been wanting to do one as long as it had enough stops to keep my Hubby happy. Also, happy that you had nice weather for majority of the trip. Safe travels home or whatever your next adventure is.

Congratulations! That looks like a nice itinerary. Have you sailed on Oasis? The best tip I can offer for embarking out of Cape Liberty is show up at your check in time to avoid having to stand in long lines outside. Far too many people show up way too early then the area becomes a zoo. If your check in time is 12:30/1:00 pm - show up at 12:30 and walk right up to the front door (don't stand in the long line that tends to wrap around the building), show your sea pass and in you go. I am booked for the 7 night sailing on Oasis 8.28 and cannot wait to check out Oasis. The only Oasis class ship we have sailed on is Allure. I am enjoying Benny's live review with all the photos. I have already picked out my new favorite spot on Oasis (the new area in front of the solarium looks perfect).
