  1. When at Guest Services, I would have escalated the issue. Everyone has a boss: if you know the answer given to you was incorrect (or even suspect it was), ask to speak to that person's supervisor. If they're not available, ask for the supervisor's supervisor.
  2. I'd check with Silversea. My knowledge is limited to the Celebrity and RC loyalty points. These two groups share reciprocal status up to a certain rank (I don't remember if it's Elite/Elite+ or Diamond/Diamond+ respectively). In my experience, points will only accumulate for that line (for example, only earning Captain's Club points on Celebrity ships or Crown And Anchor points only on Royal Caribbean ships).
  3. They did not, but they sailed right by her. They did not sail up the river.
  4. I was there last week and didn't see Coke Zero offered in cans, but they do have it on the Freestyle machines.
  5. We've still gone by her every single time. Even last week, we sailed right by her. Every time we go, it's still a really cool experience.
  6. It really doesn't matter what ship is best, since Royal and Celebrity are owned by the same company. If you like one line, you'll like the other.
  7. Yes, however, from what I heard, her key can also be tied to a cash account and she can pay the balance at the end of the cruise.
  8. I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems boring on the first episode, but from the clips at the end, it looks like it might be a cross between "The Amazing Race" and "Love Island". I don't care for "Love Island", but I'm a HUGE "Amazing Race" fan (never miss an episode).
  9. For the COVID testing, it depends on your vaccine status as far as Royal is concerned, as well as the length of your trip. For cruises LESS THAN 10 NIGHTS: Unvaccinated: YES Vaccinated: NO I haven't heard anything in regards to B2B cruises or transatlantics, so I can't comment there. However, it also depends on where you're cruising from or where you're going. That's determined by the local authorities, as are mask mandates, not Royal. As far as check-in is concerned, you can usually check in online about 45 days before your cruise. Once you check in, you'll be able to pick an arrival time, please stick to this as it will help the Port Authority workers tremendously.
  10. We made it a family event at my house! All 3 of us got our flu and Omicron boosters at the same time in the same arm. We're all great, no side effects. I was even sick with a cold and was able to get it. I'm terrified of needles, and was instructed to look away as the shots were given. I honestly didn't even feel the Omicron one. I looked over after what I thought was the first shot and saw them cleaning me up. I was like "So when are we going to do this?" and the immunizer was like "All done"!
  11. My cousin actually works for the LA Kings. Years ago (before he even graduated high school), he met the owner and they got to talking about his love of hockey and how he wanted to be a sports reporter. The owner said to let him know when he graduated college, as he would be happy to have my cousin work for him. Over the summer, he finally got a job offer from them and now works in their marketing department.
  12. We have 2 weeks to go before setting sail on my dream ship....OASIS! In the meantime, my Mom is super excited! I've been growing my YouTube channel and this weekend, my Mom made her debut in my cruise channel! That video alone has about 27 views over 2 days. Overall, we have 2K total YouTube views, 11 subscribers, and 15 watch hours over 2 months. My niece is excited as well, Auntie promised her that she'll be making her debut on YouTube this month! I already got her Mom's permission.
  13. As far as I know, RC isn't offering any overnight stays at Cocoa Cay.
  14. Your daughter that's under the age of 14 will need someone who's over the age of 14 with her. You never mentioned the age of the other daughter, so it's hard to tell if an adult will need to be with them.
  15. I don't understand why they won't let you pre-book the shows now. It would make things much less stressful for the passengers and potentially crew if they did. Yes, it doesn't take much time to begin with, but sometimes the internet access on the ship is shaky, at best.
  16. I've cruised out of Bayonne on ships that were not repositioning cruises and were both from RC and Celebrity...we passed the Statue of Liberty every single time. Even on Norwegian out of Manhattan, we passed her.
