  1. I bought this one instead of the one recommended by @Sea Dog only because I saw it on the Apple site so I wanted to try what they sold. I got it at Amazon for less money there. I’ll let you know how it works. It was the only way to plug in our iPad (and newer versions of iPhone) into a usb.
  2. We like Giovanni’s and when we eat there for lunch we skip dinner and just get a snack in the WJ later. We don’t feel the monotony and quality of the food in the MDR is worth it anyway. We’re finding we’re eating less and less there and more in WJ.
  3. This started before the update last night…..at the same time the cruise planner excursions were screwed up. I’ll just take a picture of it. It’s just funny how such a large corp can have such crappy system for their customers.
  4. I’ll take a pic of them if it doesn’t get fixed by the time we cruise. I’m not confident it will.
  5. It’s not really an issue because I’ll just screenshot them, but it does seem it’s a Royal IT issue…….surprising 🤪
  6. To complicate things…..now that I have bought this, there will still be the issue that Apple devices like our IPads and watches don’t use a cord with a usb…the charging cord is USB-C on both ends. We were looking at cords that have a USB to USB-C bot not sure if it’s garbage. Does anyone have one to recommend?
  7. I also have one of these and plan to bring it. Please try to stop back and let us know..enjoy your cruise!!
  8. I agree with you 100%. We were on Serenade this summer and it was so much nicer to have hubby's CPAP plugged in behind the bed and not have that cord draped on the ceiling with magnets! If they could do it on serenade they’re already 25% of the way done with the radiance class ships. Im curious what plug on the cord for a USB you’re talking about…..
  9. If it is can you post the link from Amazon? I’m having a hard time finding one like this
  10. I’ll do the same, I was just wondering if it was only our cruise, but I see it’s another of royals issues
  11. No….Odyssey 11-3 that I just checked into last night. Others on the cruise are having the same issue. So I was wondering if others are recently having the same issue. Royal has been screwed up in the cruise planner for more than a week.
  12. Me too, we’re going on odyssey in a month and I’ll bring it but I’ll also see if I can find one without the outlets, just plugs for phone and iPad (USB-C)
  13. The last time we received a huge orange extension cord that you get everywhere. I guess we could plug phones into that!
  14. We’ve always added our set sail pass to our Apple Wallet, but when we checked in yesterday and I tried to add them I got an error. First time this has happened. I know others on our cruise got the same error, so it’s not just us. Royal has been having other issues with the cruise planner lately, so maybe this is just another to add to the list? Has anyone else with an upcoming cruise had issues with the Apple wallet in the past few days or figured out how to get it to work?
  15. Thanks for posting this because although I had always gotten them…..I didn’t get it this time.
  16. I haven’t read the responses, but DO NOT bring an ext cord….it will be confiscated. They will supply the cord and distilled water. You can fill out the special needs form, but most times we just tell the room steward when we meet them. My DH has both American and European cords for his machine.
  17. I would like to interpret this wording: “extension cords with multi plug outlets/power strip” simply as a power strip that has multi plugs, like ALL power strips do. They’re trying to eliminate surge protectors I think, which some power strips say they are. But the one shown above I wouldn’t think is what they’re prohibiting…….if it is, they better be adding lots of extra outlets in each cabin.
  18. I compared my longest upcoming cruise on the app on my iPhone and on Safari and Chrome on my iPad. The app on my phone showed the ports that currently are showing excursions each individually, but my iPad on both Safari and Chrome shows only a couple of ports and then all the cruising days but then has the excursions totally mixed up as if I wanted to view them all instead of by port. Royal has really one of the worst IT for a corporation so large.
  19. I’m not sure if this is still the way Disney handles chair hogs, but a few years ago we were at their resort in Aulani Hawaii. Their way is that every hour the attendants went to each chair and folded the towel neatly over the top of the chair. When they came back the next hour, if the towel is still there, they took all the belongings back to the towel station and the guest had to go get them. It wasn’t a lot of work for the attendants, many people were in their chairs, or one family member was while the children swam. But it worked!
  20. Thats if there’s any chairs left open by 8am….most will be empty with towels or a shoe or a book …etc
