I'm going to try one next time I book E Class...I want to experience it first hand. Done with SV's for a while. My most 2 recent bookings in them were the definition of HOT on the balcony...with occasional soot.

Stopped in Labadee 3 weeks ago on the Mariner…I really enjoyed it, laid back vibe there..we also went to Coco, I enjoyed Labadee more. FYI Royal handles all the food/ beverage service on Labadee, they bring it off the ship.

That’s the way exclusive areas work.

Read the contract you agreed to with said Cruise Line..IF you think you have a leg to stand on, go for it. My advice, book another similar cruise for your vacation time frame and move on.

I thinks it is very good Champagne, especially when price is considered.

I don’t recall paying for coffee on my last Apex cruise with breakfast room service..maybe I just missed it.

They will delivery coffee for room service…

I see one 10 night Southern in November, various dates for 8-9 Day ABC cruises for 2023 in the fall. I'm headed out on Equinox this Sept to the ABC's...went before the shut down on her to the Southern Caribbean..great ship..great trip.

They did it for no charge...ship was sailing at round 60%...SV's were available...we asked, they did it.

It is a big porthole..with a real balcony. I think they are far forward...not sure about aft. We had one booked once, they upgraded us at the pier to SV.

That was the reason we were in an SV on Apex...loved the ship...IF we were to sail here again (we will), I'm going to give the IV a chance. Apex was a lift and shift from 2 years ago. Maybe it was just the weather, or the winds, it was March in the Caribbean, so it's usually not so bad..mid summer, I get it...soot was an issue a few days too..

Stayed in an SV deck 12 on Apex…right in the center..some noise yes…LONG walk to cabin, and I like to walk. my issue is that I found it to have zero breeze..HOT…compared to regular balcony’s I have stayed in on S Class ships..I thought the same thing about SV class on Equinox, HOT and no breeze..regular balcony suits me much better, usually for less money. i can get the aft view at the Sunset Bar…and it has a Bar. 🙂 That said, choices are good.

Standing in the shower on deck is a better way to cool off.
