  1. We didn't hear anything about the carnival passenger yes it is back to pre pandemic level of passengers but the long lines (which we have really not seen) is going to happen so if you don't like full ships then maybe you should pick a smaller ship. We have had a great time in the last week and are happy to be back to cruising
  2. We are on the same cruise and yes we didn't clear custom till almost 11:30 but by the time we left the ship it was easy to disembark at around noon
  3. We are currently on b2b on the breakaway and have had plenty of lettuce in all of the restaurants
  4. We are on b2b on the breakaway and our cabin has been cleaned perfectly every day. They clean anywhere between 10am and 5pm daily. We have had no issues with our steward. If you are having an issue I suggest calling housekeeping
  5. The muster drill is the old way you go to your station at 3:30 when they announce it and wait until everyone shows up
  6. We are on the breakaway and it is only once a day our steward told us it would be between 10 & 5 and we do get the printed daily delivered in the evening.
  7. You don't need to take your life jacket to the drill. The noodle bar was not open for.lunch yesterday which was a.sea day. The food is fine in the restaurants which we have been to so far. I don't think a dress up night has been mentioned yet. The alcohol drinks wine and whiskey has been available so far.not sure about rumours.
  8. We are on the 1/15 cruise and they are doing the old muster drill at 3:30.
  9. We have asked for our dessert to be boxed to take back to our cabin from different specialty restaurants on different ships several times without an issue never asked for them to deliver it.
  10. Thanks for the heads up we are boarding Sunday 01/15 for a b2b and I can live with these couple items
  11. We are new to carnival and first sailing next May. It sounds like no coffee pots are in the cabins is this correct?
  12. On our b2b we have always asked to keep the account open to the end of the 2nd leg including our cas account but each leg in regards to WiFi, dinners, obc were treated as 2 legs and nothing carried over so now it sounds like everything will carry over?
  13. Wow that means they were making bloody as much or little spice as people wanted. My husband likes his very spicy and I don't so he would be telling the bar tender to pour the spice in.
  14. We go on b2b every year, depends on the port you may have to disembark or you might not have to. You will get instructions in your cabin a couple days before the end of the first leg. Some ports you will meet on the ship usually in one of the restaurants to go thru customs. If you have to disembark they will walk you off the ship to go thru customs, either way it takes about an hour. Other than that you are free to do whatever you want on the ship. If you are in the same cabin you can go to your cabin if you want it usually is one of the last cabins to be cleaned. Your account will stay open and you will need to get a new key usually you can do this the day before. You also can leave the ship if you want to do some site seeing but we usually hang out on the ship have a few drinks an relax.
  15. They ran out of clamoto for my bloody Caesar last month on the bliss on the 3rd day so yes anything can be out of stock.
  16. Since you will be leaving from New Orleans it will be cold probably in the upper 50s on the first and last day of the cruise but it does warm up by the time you get farther south. The water is warm enough for my husband to snorkel but I am a sissy so for me the water is a little chilly but I do get in. Not sure if the pools on the ship are heated as we don't get in them. We prefer then printed ones and last month on the Bliss we had them in our cabin every day just ask I believe there is a laundry special but we never use it. I don't have a pic of the moderno salad bar but it is fantastic lots of meat, cheese, soup, and so many different types of veggies I usually just eat from the bar and skip the meats that they bring around. We actually are on a b2b on the breakaway in January
  17. Great pics we were there a few weeks ago and miss it already
  18. Not that this is a guarantee it won't tender but I looked up our b2b dates in January on cruise mapper and neither none should be tendered there are less ships in port on those days than there are berths
  19. We are on b2b in January on the Breakaway and was not aware of the tender ports but I do see them listed on the main NCL page. They are not listed in our itinerary as tender ports and we have never had to tender in Roatan and only once in Cozumel. So thinking they may be tendered if too many ships in port.
  20. Thanks for the info we are looking at the Joy or Bliss so it will be the new locks. We live in AZ so we are considering LA to Miami but need to check into the ports more.
  21. We are looking to do a Panama canal cruise in 2024 and wondering if it matters to go east to west or west to east? They both have the same ports so is one way better then the other? thx
  22. Couple reasons, the first couple cruises post covid that is where the quarantine cabins where and I have been to the medical center for a fall that I had on the ship years ago so just don't want to be near it.
