  1. How many points did you have on your card to qualify for the 20% off?
  2. I wouldnt slam anyone for honestly answering your question. Dont eat the nuts was my first response also. Our daughter has an allergic reaction to nuts also but she has been on a cruise with us. This is why your server asks every meal if you have any allergies for food items. They are very good about it as we just got off the Bliss and any new restaurant we went to they asked. If you are diligent with washing yor hands and taking wipes with you I wouldnt see why you should have any problems. Every ship will have nuts on boards and around. BTW the Bliss didnt have any bar mix at the bars that we went to.
  3. Brid Travels has it correct. We were there two weeks ago. We sat on our deck in short sleeve shirts as it was a gorgeous sunny day. Its a peaceful relaxing afternoon. Yes the bow was open the day we went.
  4. So you played $200,000.00, that's some serious playing. Hope you got a free cruise or 2 also.
  5. Is Royal the same as NCL as in $5.00 played per point?
  6. Wow thats strange. After my cruise in October I will give them a call. I played some craps also and they took my card but no clue how they add points or if it was just a gesture.
  7. Thank you. We are going on another cruise at the end of October and will add a few more points but I doubt I will get to 5,000
  8. We gamble a little and have never gotten players cards at any casino we have ever gone to. I thought maybe this cruise I would get a players card and see what it got me. Well as far as I can tell all it did was tell be how much I played pretty much. I dont play allot and only had 2286 points at the end of the week, I see that the next card level is 5,000 points and you get a room discount. So by my math that is playing $25,000.00 as its $5.00 per point, what room discount do you get for the upper tiers in CAS?
  9. No I never get wifi as I would never use it as my time away is time away. I tried it finally as it popped up. Oh well, good to know as we go back out in October.
  10. I would be very happy if they went to starlink as I have it at a vacation house we have and it works fine. I just got off of the Bliss last week and the 150 minute plan sucks, over half of the time it didnt work. They charge you for minutes not used, my guess is when you turn off the wifi it keeps on transmitting until it turns off. I would check my mail and use it for 3 minutes and the meter says 20 minutes less next time I log on.
  11. Doesn't really matter to me as I do'nt drink either but a bartender on the Bliss last week told me they switch over on October 15th
  12. Happy to answer any questions as I was just sitting at my desk looking at pictures. Our weather was beautiful. I never put on a coat all week but I heard the week before they had 5 days of rain. Hopefully you will have sunny weather at the ports like we didn't as it was perfect. We had some rain in the morning on our first at sea day and when we got back to Seattle our last day. I honestly didn't see any hot chocolate on the sun deck but we only went up there twice. One day we went up there they were setting up a chafing dish but it was very windy so we didnt stay up there very long to see what was being put into it. I am sure the fabulous bartenders in the lounge would be happy to make you a hot chocolate before you walked up there. There were no dinner specials mentioned but you can pretty much order what you want or amend dishes to you liking. We kind of mixed and match what we felt like. One night she didnt want steak but wanted had a lobster craving, the waitress got her 3 lobster tails (they are very small) and her veggies. The staff is very accommodating. We sat on our deck with our binoculars often and enjoyed the view. The observation lounge is a very relaxing place. Sun deck was a bit windy but people were out there sitting in the cabanas and a few in the hot tubs.
  13. We just got off the Bliss on Saturday and yes there is some movement up there. We had room 17102 in the haven so we were very close to the front of the ship. When the ship was at full speed on an at sea day you felt some rocking back and force when we were in bed. The days of going between ports were very comfortable at a slower speed. We never use the air from NCL if its offered so if you want to plan your own travel its fine as thats what we do.
  14. Why does NCL waste the deck space with the American diner? We just got off the Bliss on Saturday and walked by the American diner a handful of times and it was a ghost town. You would think it was closed as there was no one in there. We did not go there on embarkation day for lunch so I am not sure how many people went but on a regular day it was empty. they need to remodel the space and make it something new.
  15. Yes !!! We just got off the Bliss Saturday and heard that from the crew. Some still wore the masks but the majority took them off.
  16. Just got off the Bliss on Saturday and was in the Haven. WOW !!!! We had a fabulous time and could not have been treated better by the Haven staff. The entire ships staff was fabulous in fact. The Haven was our refuge of peace and quiet. We enjoyed the casino a little to much and walked to ship a bit but it was always nice to be able to come back to the Haven. We are addicted to the Haven and other then the suite on the Jewel in October on a chartered cruise we will always go to the Haven.
  17. Just got off the Bliss on Saturday and we had the Captain and probably 10 other officers at a cocktail party in the Haven. I am pretty sure none had masks on either. All of the officers were very chatty and kind.
  18. Please post what you find out as we are driving up from Oregon Saturday morning also. Leaving town around 7:45 AM. I was planning on parking at the garage across from the pier. I was going to make a reservation but for only saving $1.00 a day its not worth it and they have a check out time at 7:00 the day you get back and I know I wont be off the ship that early.
  19. LOL !! Thank you ziggyuk for the correction. Dam I am on the same ship as FLAHAM, maybe he wont recognize me and give me crap.
  20. FLAHAM, Do you mean Kava ? Like Kava instant coffee ? I haven't seen that around in years
  21. No I am not retired yet. I think vacations will be longer but not sure how many more there will be. Time will tell.
  22. No, We treat ourselves when we travel. I dont have the time to be gone all of the time so when we go we like to splurge. Nothing wrong with any other cabins as for the most part we sleep and shower there but we like the perks associated with the Haven . When I retire we probably wont travel that much more as we love our houses so any money saved now wont matter. We are looking at Panama canal cruises currently and dam thats expensive in Haven but its something I will only do once.
  23. Now if I could find time to cruise 10 times a years that might be a different story between work, other outings and a second home we are way to busy. We are doing 2 cruises this year and that will be enough, no we dont use the butler that much but its there if we need it or want to use it. To each his own and enjoy the time away.
  24. Wife wont be happy if the Corrale doesn't work as we leave next week. I will tell her to charge it up before we leave.
  25. Well what if Karen is sitting next to me at dinner and not enjoying my wife beater, cut offs and flip flops? (Ok poor more humor) We tend to dress for dinner a little depending on the restaurant. Its everyone's choice on NCL and that is why we like it.
