  1. Can confirm. Just did 2 @ 12 nights B2B on Jewel. 2 formal nights each.
  2. I still think it's fun to find & re-hide ducks. But I agree, if there are too many, then it's no longer fun.
  3. We have Allure booked for September of 2023. Looking at CruiseMapper itineraries for Allure, between now and 29-APR-2024, there is only 3 days unaccounted for (28-OCT-2023 to 31-OCT-2023). I think they need 4-5 weeks to amplify. Plus, the Oasis and the originally scheduled Allure amplifications were done in France. So if that holds, she would need a Trans-Atlantic first, and right now she's Fort Lauderdale until Nov 2022, then Galveston until Nov 2024, then Port Canaveral through as far out as she's scheduled. So I'd say, not until Summer 2024 at the earliest, unless they do some ship swapping and re-scheduling.
  4. Here is my answer from an similarly titled thread in March of '21. But the whole thread will be a good read for you. Short answer: Rome. But that's based on visiting the city before/after, and that's honestly a personal preference.
  5. BTW, I believe there is usually a unpacking pressing special in the information left on your bed when you first get to your room.
  6. And don't try to bring one. It will be confiscated. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/iron-steamer-onboard-safety-policy
  7. Port Side Punch and BBC (Banana Baily's Colada)
  8. Favorite vocal crooning in Schooner Bar? Trivia by the entertainment staff 😁
  9. So here's what I got: At the start of both cruises, we had the card laying on our bed along with the Diamond Benefits letters and the other stuff you'd expect. Not just one cruise, but both of them. And also at the start of the cruise, not on the night that you reached the milestone. At the start of the first cruise, we were still at 94 points. We filled out the card and turned it into the LA both times (12 days apart) Guess we'll see if we get 2 or just 1.
  10. Just completed a B2B on Jewel in Amsterdam (first B2B). The process for that port/ship was even easier than I've seen described on this forum. No getting off the ship, no meeting in a lounge waiting for a customs officer. No passport check (all though, they did say to have it with us). Our letter said to be at the theater by 8:45 (no time window), so I was mentally prepared for either case. I was very surprised when all they did was hand us new SeaPass cards and a transfer card (in case we wanted to get off the ship). We then went to a security officer about 5 feet away who scanned us out of the first cruise with our old card and onto the second cruise with our new card. They handed us our cards back, and then we were told we can leave and hang out in any public area. Just to please not go in the cabin halls until the general announcement. And then the lunch anytime between 11:30 & 12:30 (but you could always do WJ if you wanted). I think they said there was about 160 of us.
  11. Just got off a B2B. Answer: Nope. They are still old style. They print thousands of 8x10's, find yours. Keep one, throw away a dozen. No other sizes, no digital (I asked). I think the person at the photo counter sounded like she would way rather have the digital. You'd think that converting to digital, including installing a few kiosks (and there's space for them), that they would pay for themselves in about 4 cruises just by the cost savings of all the pictures they print and throw away. not to mention the additional sales you get from digital packages. It's not like they need to do a total remodel. The only reason we even took 2 photos from each cruise was because they were free as Diamond.
  12. We just finished the 12 night Arctic Circle cruise on Jewel. Like you, our favorite ships are the Oasis class, but like others said, you are not going to get an Oasis class ship for the foreseeable future outside of the Caribbean & Mediterranean, the trans-Atlantic in between and presumably China post-COVID. We are still on Jewel doing the B2B 12 night Iceland & Ireland. We were concerned about being on such a small ship for so long, but now, 16 nights in, not a problem. We are having a great time, and am enjoying the ship. Our itinerary: Molde Tromso Honningsvag - Northern most port. A Radiance class ship is probably the largest that will go here. Excursion will take you to the Northern most point in Europe (or what Norway promotes as anyway). Alesund Flam - Do the combination railway and bus tour. Haugesund Kristiansand Norway is absolutely stunning!! I can not recommend it enough, regardless of ship size. From what I read before going, it sounds like Geiranger & Flam have a friendly rivalry for who has the best fjord, so try to hit at least one of them. BTW, it's kind of funny seeing the ship tied up to docks that are not much more than half the length of the ship.
  13. So great to hear that! We have the Grand Danube on AmaMagna booked for Mar/April 2023 with the pre-Prague, post-Brasov. We are very excited. To the OP: We are Royal Caribbean fans. Currently on the last day of the Arctic Circle on Jewel, and staying on for Iceland & Ireland. We very much enjoyed doing Rivers & Castles on AmaDante, which is why we booked them again. There were 10 of us, parents, us, daughter, and my sister's family of 4. Kids were 13-19. There seemed to be people of all ages and activity levels. And at least 2 other families, with some kids younger than our group's. Our other river cruise experience was back in 2005 on Vantage with my parents (they paid, their choice) and my sister and her husband. The 4 of us "kids" were the youngest passengers on the ship by a good 30 years, with each of the daily itineraries listing the number of steps (climbing, not distance) the day's excursion would have!! BTW, My parents think most ocean cruise ships are too big with too many people and refuse to even consider them. I calculated that an Oasis class ship, with 6600 passengers and 2200 crew actually has more airconditioned square footage per person (~183 sq. ft.) than a typical river cruise ship. 🙂
