  1. 😅🤣😂ok. Alot of ppl get confused. I do options but just level 3. And yes, sometimes it feels like a game (I'm honest on that point). Guessing you are unfamiliar with the difference between option levels too so I'll retreat from confusing you. I'll keep my general stock discussions for the Traders Network within Schwab
  2. Was that iHealth or BinaxNow?? I'm hoping for a backup in case my Drs office ever stops doing the Antigen (not sure they would as my insurance covers 100%) See you on the Discovery Princess Sunday 👋
  3. I have repeatedly asked for the source and it has never been provided. It's one thing for an analyst capable of dissecting & analyzing the current quarterly report; it's another thing for someone on a non-investment chat site unaware of how to read that report to circulate another unconfirmed person's qualifications opinion as verifiable truth. I don't know Cruising Deacon's qualifications. They might be a CFA. Or they might be an ordinary pedestrian investor afraid as they see a normal market correction. I also don't know another poster's qualification who asked if LEAPS and shorts were the same thing. But I'm pretty sure they aren't an options trader. All I'm saying is Please be aware of the qualifications of the person you are taking investment advice from. This board is a great source for cruising advice / a lousy source of investment advice
  4. I initially booked Royal Princess to Queensland. That was canceled and I insisted on FCD back per useless CVP suggestion. Then I booked Sydney -> HK. Then that canceled and my current CVP said let them cancel / let her transfer / done in a day. They're losing money on me Now Queensland is back on Royal Princess next fall .... not too bad. My preferred room is also available. Need to have her put THAT on hold too
  5. Not me. I'm ecstatic. I was on 18 day Majestic Princess Australia to Hong Kong March 2023. Not happening. But the replacement offer is 21 day Royal Princess Australia to Yokohama. Normally Japan is pricey. I'm now there 9 days for less than a 7 day Japan cruise. But I've got the same room, same price, 18 days instead of 21 with just 1 FCD on it, owe the same amount (shh don't mention that I rolled 75FCC out), still 150 OBC, added Specialty Dining, what's not to like??
  6. Also shifting retained ships within fleet (PCL -> POAU, at least 1 Costa now sailing under Carnival but keeping everything on it Costa to make it easier to shift back as needed) to maximize #s on each vessel
  7. Can't be that as it hasn't started yet. Deposit amounts w/o FCD are up. Which is why I have 2 on hold until I buy more FCD Sunday
  8. Long-term Equity Anticipation Securities are an option play over 12 months. Not shorting
  9. I'm stress eating. When my 16yo granddaughter moved in last August it was just for school. School ended a month ago and now my daughter is moving furniture in for her ... just a desk ... did I mention school is out for summer?? When I go away Sunday my dtr wants to stay here. Ouch
  10. This has nothing to do with CCL lightening load (which I why I keep track) but found it interesting: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/27738-13-million-for-crystal-cruises-brand-website-and-more.html So now they bought the ships, name, and passenger list. Crystal Cruises rises again
  11. Was able to put 2 on hold this morning. 1 from SF & 1 Trans-Pacific.
  12. Yep. That's the case for the recent cancelations (inc mine) and the suggested replacements. I can see all other voyages. My suggested replacement is in 2024. Waiting to hear from CVP if the FCC can be used on it. Usually replacements were 2022 & 2023 but this is Australia-> Asia (now Japan)
  13. I lost 1/2"!! That might not seem like a lot but I only measure my waist and I'm happy with it. Hoping to simply maintain on my cruise. That would be quite an accomplishment. Then I'm home forc8 weeks to continue getting healthier.
  14. Understand this. That's why I'm doing it at 9am tomorrow morning which is when the drs office opens!! @BuckeyeMarkis yours an online antigen??
  15. Kinda looks major!! So the question becomes: Is this something that can be handled in the 1 month April 2023 drydock? Will it be worth it in the long run or is this a ship that they are thinking of off-loading??
  16. Wow just wow. I want to go to Cobh. If I'm going to be on a bus for 2 hrs each way I'm not sure it's worth getting off the ship.
  17. Hopefully but those issues were supposedly dealt with back in 2019. Wouldn't be surprised if that caused an extensive drydock earlier than that. Bottom line: like the saying goes ~~~~ YOU CAN PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG BUT IT'S STILL A PIG. As long as Asia stays closed, a ship like Crown with unresolved issues leading to a lot of negative posts / unhappy cruisers is not needed.
  18. Yes I could cash that 1 of 7 in. But almost all of it will be gone by end of year. Just 73.44 rolling into next year from that in next year, in process of reorganizing so that a little more will roll over. Less than 200 total but that's after 5 cruises after 8/15/21 and only paid out 3 deposits using old gift cards. (All gift cards will also be gone - PCL can't afford too many cruisers like me)
  19. @mtnesterzplease add if you find out AIDAvita's new name What I edited out was that Crown Princess had omitted all cruises after March 2023 but just added cruises up to September 2023. I would still be leery about booking a cruise after March as the propulsion issues have existed since early 2019. Somehow it cannot be resolved. Some of the vessels that shifted out of Princess (Golden & Star to POAU) and POAU (Jewel, Dawn & Aria leaving fleet) were slated as early as 2018 but a lot of the other departures were either sped up or new lockdown decisions
  20. Yep. That's when the rubber hits the road. New terms for current & future cancelations just posted June 14th so stay tuned -- I anticipate a cancelation any day now (Sydney -> Hong Kong March 2023. Same itinerary September 2023 just canceled). That FCC was book by 5/1/23. Will be interesting if it says (current month)/2023 and book by or use by or if it'll still say use by 5/1/2023.
  21. More on lightening up debt load -- Originally canceled voyages got 200% refund as FCC, then 175% both Phase 1. Not applicable as a down-payment on future cruises. Gradually it went to 150%, 125%, 110%. Redeployments in Fall 2020 got up to 600 OBC in addition to 125% FCC to rebook same cruise but 12 months later. That's all history. Currently canceled cruises with FCC will receive 100% FCC reimbursement as it was originally noted with an added notation that goodwill FCC (that 'extra' 10-100%) will still expire 12/31/22. So if my 3/7/23 cruise is canceled bc Asia cruises aren't happening then any goodwill FCC would have expired worthless NYE 2022. Had mine reallocate so that all goodwill FCC is on 9/2/22 cruise. FCC on March 2023 cruise is 'Cash Value FCC-voy"
  22. Where do mutual funds get their money? We have now officially gone down the rabbit hole
  23. So Heritage Group is relaunching entire Crystal Cruises fleet?? Lessens need for Carnival Corp ships but good news for them!! As a shareholder, I started this thread only looking at CCL downsizing. NCL ships have also downsized their fleet / lowered their debt. But I'm not a stockholder of NCL. Yeah, just 1 F rated stock in my portfolio CROWN PRINCESS CRUISES ONLY POSTED UNTIL APRIL 2023!! And recent redeployments do NOT come with incentives. Could they be actively looking for a buyer?
