  1. We enjoyed the Fjords on both our trips on Azura and Iona, and have booked up a return for 2024 on Britannia. However, we personally did not particularly like Haugesund but loved Bergen, so found one on Britannia that does Stavanger, Olden, Flam and Bergen. Not for Stavanger or the other ports on your chosen cruise, but up the top of Mount Fløyen in Bergen are a few walking/hiking trails, which can be accessed by either walking up the mountain or catching the Fløibanen funicular. Get there early though, the funicular gets very busy. https://floyen.no/en
  2. As far as I was aware, the rules had changed recently regarding transfers. Not as flexible as before, quote from P&O website, assuming you booked prior to 3rd August 2022:- Holidays booked prior to 3 August 2022: For any bookings made prior to 3 August 2022, if you wish to reschedule your holiday, you can make one further booking transfer up to the date that the balance for your holiday is due. This is available on Select Price and Early Saver holidays. However, the new booking must be of equal or higher value and must sail within 12 months of the original departure date (or 6 months for a World Cruise, Classic Southern Hemisphere Journey, Grand Tour or Exotic Fly-cruise). P&O - https://www.pocruises.com/travel-health-advisories/flexible-cancellation-policy Also on that page is the cancellation policy. Go within 90 days and could be costly. If you need to change, I would do it before your 90 days.
  3. As I stated, but I will get a new booking confirmation following payment of the balance in December, to confirm I have paid in full. The same happened for our upcoming Iona cruise in November.
  4. The latest offer does state that an updated booking confirmation will not be sent. However, after I have paid the balance it should show up on the updated confirmation.
  5. Had the email yesterday for extra £150 OBC for our Azura cruise in March 2023, with final payment not until 17th December 2022. Very nice to have.
  6. When I paid my final balance, soon after I had a new booking confirmation which indicates both of our on board spending had increased by the promised £75. If you haven't had a new confirmation, phone and get one (which I needed to do).
  7. Latest update from Meyer Werft, with Arvia being worked on in the basin.
  8. From what I have seen the atrium is very similar to Iona's grand atrium, with different decoration as you would expect. The mission control removes one of the multi purpose cinemas, but if popular could easily be fitted to Iona. As for the other items you mention, very marmite. Enlarging and relocating the Olive Grove to where Iona's Opal restaurant is, will be welcome. Just hope they can copy with more covers than Iona does. Plus 6th street diner looks interesting, and for those that like it, the new Green & co. It's a shame they couldn't make the 710 club larger, instead of using the area for access to the Mission Control area.
  9. Some photos of Arvia from Meyer Werft social media
  10. A couple of pictures from Paul Ludlow social media
  11. Arvia was floated out of the dry dosck this morning. From P&O social media. We've reached an extra special Arvia milestone as we celebrate her float out from the covered shipyard to the outside harbour! As Arvia’s maiden voyage on 9 December 2022 gets closer and closer, we can’t wait to see the build continue. Watch this space for more updates soon!
  12. More from Meyer Werft social media. 3 of Arvia's life boats have arrived, with 13 more to follow.
  13. Hi-res image from Meyer Werft press portal (clipped down by CC - look here - https://www.meyerwerft.de/en/press/press_detail/float_out_of_arvia_at_meyer_werft.jsp )
  14. Hopefully plenty of videos should follow, and possibly some live.
  15. Meyer Werft have posted on social media that Arvia will be floated out into the basin on Saturday.
  16. During the booking process you can choose to opt out of the included flights within the flights section. It states a reduction will be shown on the cruise summary. No idea how much they are reduced by though. Also, it may be worth a call to P&O or your favourite TA, can you delay the included flights?
  17. No price difference in advance or onboard. In advance you will get your Peninsular club discount off the full price. Onboard you can use your OBC, and after that your Peninsular club discount kicks in for the balance..
  18. Don't forget the 20% discount for drinks over £6.95.
  19. Personally, my view is to wait until your are onboard. Check out the prices, do a rough calculation of what you may drink taking into account sea days vs port days, and days where you just don't want a drink. if you will benefit buy onboard on the 1st/2nd day. On our Iona June cruise, it was just not worth it. All the cocktails we drink were over the £6.95 maximum price, and the discount on the bottles of champagne wasn't worth it. We have had the package before, and was great. We are back onboard Iona in November, and will run through as above, although the better half has already stated she will not be drinking alcohol every day.
  20. Latest Meyer Werft website photos. And Jubilee as Arvia is in the background.
  21. I don't think I have seen anything official, but some of the shipping registry sites have her listed as UK. But that could just be a place holder. Should be clear hopefully on the immanent float out.
