  1. This was the MDR, it was Chic night so nicer menu. Lloyd is the best waiter, along with Tapas sommelier they are such a great team. Good to know I have at least one MDR dinner to look forward to for my 13 night cruise in May on the Silhouette 😅 Thanks again for all the pictures and posts, glad you all had a good time. 🌹
  2. It’s really rocking and rolling now, tonight has been very quiet…. We went to dinner but couldn’t stay up afterwards. We had mushroom risotto, blue cheese soufflé, lobster, lamb, butter chicken. Followed by baked Alaska and lemon roulade. The star of the show was the butter chicken, really delicious. Food looks good, did you dine in the MDR or a speciality restaurant? I have enjoyed reading about your travels thanks. 🙂
  3. From what I know - The flash sales seem to occur every 4 or so months but it seems random which sailings qualify for them. If you do purchase excursions and a better price comes along (or you change your mind) you can cancel your booking and purchase again at the new price. There is a risk that when you cancel and go to purchase again your excursion shows as sold out. 45% off is likely the best we are going to get - I purchased 4 excursions for our May 2024 cruise. So yes, I would recommend booking shore excursions now.
  4. Checked our cruises for March/April 2024 and nothing discounted. Strange, the discounts are there for my May 2024 cruise. Who knows how they make decisions on the sales. 🤷‍♀️
  5. Hi I am in New Zealand. My cruise is a Baltics cruise on the Silhouette, May 2024, Verandah cabin. The previous sale was not available to us but this one is. I booked two excursions on Celebrities website. It is unfathomable how they roll out their sales to some regions and not others. Really not fair, we should all have the same opportunities to save some money. 😕
  6. Thank you! The sale is available on the Celebrity website for New Zealand customers, the last sale was not. Off to book a few shore excursions at the sale prices 🙂
  7. Exactly! And the thought that some bean counter thought it a good idea to experiment with charging for cookies and adding a gratuity on top of that shows how out of touch they are. Higher prices for a reduced product then getting nickel and dined once you are aboard, not what I call relaxed luxury. We booked our cruise for next May back in February. What is on offer has eroded since then. My concern is poor food choices in the MDR, not good for our 13 night cruise. if it a very noticeable change from our Celebrity cruise from 2019 it will be our last.
  8. Is there a thread that discusses how accessible either by shuttle bus or walking are various ports? It would help in choosing whether to take a ships tour or not. For example, my Baltics cruise next year I have booked the ships tour of Berlin due to the distance from the port. Would be good to know if Stockholm, Estonia, Copenhagen etc attractions are easily accessible without doing a ship tour. An idea would be for members to contribute to a spreadsheet similar to the Cabin Information spreadsheets. Columns - Ship, Date of Cruise, Country, Port, Shuttle Available?, Walkable?
  9. Same here in New Zealand, guess only their American customers matter?
  10. Nothing on sale for me in New Zealand for my May 2024 cruise. Eye watering drinks packages prices though. $284 NZD = $172 USD. 😩 Drink Packages Product List Premium Package From $264.88 NZD $284.83 NZD/ per guest per day (7% OFF)PRE-CRUISE SAVINGS Classic Package From $229.33 NZD $246.60 NZD/ per guest per day (7% OFF)PRE-CRUISE SAVINGS
  11. I got the email for my May 2024 cruise but when I click on the link the advertised discounts are not shown at all. I do note that there are a couple of shore excursions that seem very low and the pricing looks to be in error. If I book and pay for them what are the chances that the price would be honoured?
