  1. I would rather do train but I'm thinking of the walk with luggage to station, waiting for train then walking from station to check in would be more time consuming
  2. Very helpful! Do the restaurants (sp steak house) & spa times get booked up early? I was thinking of doing it first night as the main restaurants can be a little chaotic. Do they time you on the spa experience? It sounds nice. Do you go pick up the photo? Where/when are they taken?
  3. Thanks, this is what I'm gathering from my research. About how long of a drive would it be on a Wed morning, leaving hotel around 7:30 (I probably will not have checked bag)?
  4. I have a 10:50 flight back to US. I'm staying at Hotel Nadia (near Anne Frank house). I'm thinking taxi is fastest or would walking to train station & taking train? I'm not an early morning person, haha
  5. Thank you. I'm on MSC & they don't tell you the time of the excursion until you are on the ship so I hope it's early. I do walk fast & have no back issues (but height issues, haha). Hearing about this made a big impression on me as a child so I would like to attempt
  6. I am leaving a week from today on the Virtuosa, my 1st MSC cruise. I have status match that brings me to Diamond. I understand I have priority boarding? What dining room is open on embarkation day & when does it close? Is there a diamond cocktail party on a 5 day cruise? It appears I get a photo for free? Also, I thought I read a bottle of sparking wine in cabin? A one hour spa experience is included, what is that? Does texting go through on their internet package or only whats app etc? Thanks
  7. What time does the Blue Danube stop serving lunch on embarkation day? Do you have the internet package? If so, how good is is ? Can you text?
  8. How was the internet on the trip? Could you text?
  9. Princess & NCL are two that I know of
  10. OK, I get that. Did there appear to be a long line to do it?
  11. Hello, searched & couldn't find info on wait times. I'll be doing a ship tour & understand you have to get on your back & lean to kiss the stone. Can anyone offer insight on how long the line will be on a weekday the first of June? It sounds scary but I don't want to do the tour & not kiss the stone
  12. I've walked it - maybe 45 minutes? Sidewalks can be narrow & you have to watch for bikes. I did it with luggage
  13. Thank you. I intend to walk to CS then it looks like I can get direct train? Sorry, I live in LA where public transportation is not something we tend to use!
  14. Thank you, this is very helpful. I'm assuming after you do this you go through security & then to the gate, skipping the (usually) long check in line
  15. Thanks! I assume you need the app to schedule security? I'm hoping not to have checked bags. If I do, I am on American. What does self service drop off mean?
  16. Ok, I guess I better do a taxi then. Is there a lot of traffic on that route on a Wednesday morning?
  17. Which cruise solo? I'm doing May 29, I am from Los Angeles
  18. OOOHHH. beef wellington! Was this in the main dining room?
  19. Thanks, I think the bus is the best option. I will also be going to the Ziggo Dome & assuming train is bets for that? Probably no direct bus going there from my hotel area? Also, I'm thinking of doing taxi for departure morning as I don't want to be delayed getting to the airport, my flight to US is at 10:50. How long should I give myself to check in?
  20. Is the train better than bus 397? I'm staying at Hotel Nadia, very close to the Anne Frank house. I've done the bus before but never the train
  21. Princess seems to do their drink package differently. IE, on Carnival & NCL we paid tax while in US ports but have never on Princess
  22. I've decided to go out of LHR & take the bus there. You warned me to book early - the bus has gone up 11 quid!
  23. There are so many you can just walk up to one & get on - around $10 - $12. viator & get your guide have various ones with food, drinks, etc for around $30, though I don't know if they have those in the day time.
