  1. Not me. Also missed that MillerCoors is now MolsonCoors. As you said earlier, it's tough to keep up.
  2. That's how I always do when quoting just a portion of a post. Like now. πŸ‘ Much easier on computer with mouse. I have a hard time on my phone with my fat, fumble fingers. 😁
  3. It's hard to keep track of which breweries are owned by whom as different brands are sold, purchased, co-owned, distributed by another ,etc Pretty sure 97% of the beers in the world is owned by one of three companies.
  4. Tecate ("It's not beer, its' cervaza" is their slogan) is a fine, easy drinking Mexican beer that is sometimes can be found in Boleros. Never saw it in Sabor or Rita's Catina back in the day. Always found that to be odd. Owned by Heineken.
  5. Paper/Plastic plates vs China. I prefer China. It's not fine china but whatever someone gave us. Probably whatever was on sale from Macy's or Kohls or some other big dept store. The reason I prefer China is that if I use Paper/Plastic, it takes too long to fill up the dishwasher which will begin to smell after a bit (I know, over sharing again). Only use plastic at outdoor picnics. Plus, I feel like I'm being environmentally friendly by not using disposable paper plates. Although some tell me the amount of water & electricty a dishwasher uses is not environmentally friendly either. I always heard a dishwasher uses less water than hand washing but then again, that's the dishwasher manufactures say that so.....
  6. Always a big debate in my family. Consensus is Over. Having said that, I guess I'm bi-TP as I can operate the toilet paper whether it's over or under. I hope that's not over-sharingπŸ˜‡πŸ˜
  7. I hear ya. Since there are a few others also offering helpful suggestions on how people should post, I was going to chime in with a few of my own as well. Three times I wrote a few "helpful hints" but before hitting the submit button, I read back what I wrote and seemed snobbish & unfriendly. I thought I would appear rude lecturing someone how they should post . Plus, it's not my place to tell someone what and how they write. Everyone has their own personality and writing style and that's fine. Really, the only rules needed are the CC rules which are: keeping it clean, no solicitation and no bullying or harassing of a poster no matter how subtle that may be (subtle being the key word). Usual disclaimers apply: IMHO and YMMV. If anyone disagrees, that's fine. My feelings won't be hurt. Life is Good and posting/reading posts here is fun. πŸ™‚ P.S. - none of this is directed at you personally. I was just using your 2 posts as a jumping off point for my rant.
  8. Funny, I think the fact the pool side big screen TV doesn't work is kinda an upgrade. 😊.
  9. Whenever I travel, both in the US and abroad, I'm always on the lookout for whatever local beer is available that I normally would not have access to.
  10. There is none. i can pretty much drink any kind of beer. Lagers, Ales, Pilners, IPA, Porters, etc. Half the time I'm not even sure which "style" of beer I'm drinking I just know some are good and some are not., whether it's from a big brewery or small brewery, import or domestic, etc. The only beers I really do not like are the fruity ones that sound like they should be a pancake syrup. The maple blueberry ales or chocolate coffee lagers. The only exception is summer brews. A small amount of lime or lemon is acceptable. Having said all that, I get bored drinking the same beer after awhile so I'm always looking for a new taste. And the small craft breweries fulfill that niche. But I agree with you, a lot of craft brews are crap. They get too creative with the recipes trying to set themselves apart and end up ruining what should be a good beer. And most craft beers are still made/owned by the big mega-breweries that produce 90%+ of the beer made. To a real purist, you won't find a true craft beer on a ship or large resort as technically speaking, it's produced in low volumes micro-breweries.
  11. I have yet to meet a Czech beer I do not like. They give any German or Belgium brew a run for their money. And this is coming from someone of German heritage.
  12. Actually, that's exactly what Royal wants. The dont want people spending 90 minutes watching a free show, they want them spending $$$ at the casino & bars. I predict every ship in the fleet will soon have CATS on board. πŸ˜…
  13. I'm sure @Ocean Boy knows the door is always open for him & he'll be welcome back with open arms when he's ready to return.
  14. My favorite is pretty much anything other than Coors Light. And on a super hot day when I'm outside baking in the sun, a Coors Light will do in a pinch.
  15. @lenquixote66 Happy 79th birthday. Hope you have a great day with 79 of your closest friends and family. Hoping for good news when you visit your cardiologist tomorrow.
  16. DW loves Christmas shows / movies / cartoons as much as @Sea Dog loves Christmas music. Probably seen all the classics half a dozen times a year for the past 30 years. I think I can quote all the lines verbatim.
  17. I get that occasionally. I usually have to close down (app on phone or window on laptop) and then go back in. Curiously, I always remain logged in.
  18. Oh, and the price of diesel is still pretty high ensuring everything we need to buy will continue to go up in price. πŸ˜’
  19. Same with NY. $4.70 for regular & $5.39 for premium. Filled up both cars yesterday, the tanks on both were almost empty. The SUV with regular for $75 and the Saab convertible with Premium for $80. Yep, spent $155 on gas yesterday. The only good thing is the Saab is pretty much just an around town car so a full tank should last 3-4 weeks.
  20. I agree. I'm not a brand loyal guy so I don't want to be locked into a certain hotel chain or airline. I'd rather get the points in the form of cash back and let my wallet do the talking. For example, a lot of people seem to have great success with the Southwest card. Earlier today, I was pricing a flight from NYC to Houston and of the five airlines: AA / JetBlue / Delta / United / Southwest, surprisingly Southwest was the most expensive, almost twice the price of AA. Cash back points bought me a "free flight" on AA whereas if I had a Southwest card, that "free" flight would have been twice as expensive. Not really a fan of AA but half the price (or points) can't be beat. Plus, don't have to worry about "blackout" dates. I do have a BOA Royal Visa card - 2% on Royal purchases, 1% on all else, points expire after 5 years - which might be great for frequent Royal cruisers but unfortunately with limited vacation time & competing vacation interests, I didn't really get to cruise enough to maximize the value. Plus, redeeming points always seemed like a hassle. Now, my primary card is a Chase Freedom card. No fee, 3% cash back on Restaurants, food delivery and pharmacy purchases, 1.5% on all other purchases. Other fun benefits: 5% cash back when booking thru travel thru Chase Ultimate Rewards and 5% cash back on gas purchases (first year only and $6,000 cap, making a killing on that this yearπŸ™‚). Points never expire and the usual credit card protections: extended warranty, trip interruption coverage, car rental damage waiver, etc I also have a Discover card that I only use in whatever the 5% cash back category is that quarter.
