  1. But it is Princess, not someone outside of Princess, who keeps advertising it as the greatest innovation ever. They are the ones who have to deal with all the complaints, so it is not as if they can claim ignorance of the many problems it has.
  2. You have given one reason for buying airfare through a cruise line, if the cruise is cancelled there is no extra hassle dealing with getting a refund through an airline.
  3. If you buy OBC with your husband's card (presuming you can use it say for excursions), will it show up as reservations? That worked for us once with an Amex offer for HAL (actually Carnival Corporation).
  4. Just one note---unlike most class action suits that only the private lawyers make out well, this suit was by State's Attorney Generals, so the citizens of the state received the benefit, not the attorneys. And one other thing---Carnival has no excuse for allowing a data breach of sensitive personal information. It is their responsibility to keep it protected.
  5. Or to put it another way, either you or your TA can spend time on hold with the cruise line.
  6. $1.25 Million Settlement Over Carnival Cruise Line Data Breach | News Releases | NH Department of Justice
  7. Maybe that more precisely should read the upper management of Princess.
  8. Is this another example of your dry British humor, or should I have wrote "humour?" 😉
  9. How could there possibly be problems? After all it has the Medallion technology! 🤣🤦‍♂️
  10. That is why I let our TA figure the amount we need to insure.
  11. We were once on a HAL ship. I joined the roll call that had just the poster that had started the roll call. No one else ever joined. He joked that as the only ones aboard both our parties would be upgraded to suites. I joked back that they would probably cancel the cruise with only 4 passengers. And of course neither happened.
  12. I agree. I saw an important e-mail from NCL and wondered what terrible message could this be. Did our 2023 Prima cruise which we picked for the itinerary have its itinerary changed? Or was it cancelled (maybe chartered)? Instead I got the message about testing no longer required to fly back to the US. That might have been very relevant if our cruise was this summer, but who knows what rule changes will go into affect before the summer of 2023?
  13. Again, I do not think you will get it, but you really won't waste much time. The message will be due to high call volume expect a longer then usual wait. And then it will say your expected wait time is 2 minutes. 🤣
  14. Yes, why even wait for the final payment date? We have also applied right away after booking.
  15. Not platinum, but I have found AMEX customer service also quite helpful. When I said they could not add offers, I was going by past posts I have read over the years from posters who had tried and failed to have offers added.
  16. I do not believe they can do that, but other than wasting some time, I guess it cannot hurt to try.
  17. Mostly older, but the Mardi Gras is their newest ship, correct?
  18. Please let us know what their response is. If they are dishonest about the feedback from their clients about the ship, I would not trust that agency. (But of course you cannot let us know who they are by cc rules.)
  19. I think the question should be do they believe the feedback from passengers who say the will never come back.
  20. But if you read the brochures they send out in the mail, you do have the greatest invention since the wheel, the Medallion.
  21. And if you go through the Princess boards, you will also find a lot of complaints about the present experience on Princess! For instance, if you read about the Crown Princess, you will weep!
  22. So, the new ships have phased out of the best things that makes Carnival unique?
  23. We were able in St. Petersburg to buy enough nesting dolls to have Christmas presents for the entire family.
