  1. Can one disembark at a port that is not the disembarkation port and rejoin the cruise at the next port stop? If so, is this arranged with Princess head office or through onboard services? Any additional information would be appreciated. Thanks!

  2. Currently on the Spirit. Boarded on Friday and after a day and night in port today we set off for Walvis Bay. This is our first time on the Spirit and our only previous Silversea cruise was on the Moon. For context, we have cruised on Crystal and Seabourn many times.

I too was worried having read the same reviews. First impressions are of a ship that is in good condition but could use a refresh, compared to Moon which is much newer and feels lighter, prettier and more spacious. Nothing that would be a deal breaker though. The service is excellent and dinner tonight at Indochine was great. We missed the headline entertainer but went to the Panorama Lounge and the place was rocking. Had a lot of fun. The lecturer this afternoon was good and on topic.

We’re not too fond of buffets but had a nice lunch at La Terrazza yesterday. So, so far so good. Definitely not a bust and we are enjoying ourselves. Bonus, saw a humpback whale from my balcony this afternoon.

    Don’t fret 😁

  3. @Peanutbrittle56 unfortunately air travel has become incredibly unpredictable with many more flights cancelled or delayed than before the pandemic. I would sincerely recommend you plan to fly to Barbados the day before. We were flying from Vancouver to Barbados last December to join the Silver Moon and all it took was a delayed departure for everything to unravel. Long story short, the airline sent us from Toronto to Miami to spend the night there and then fly to Barbados on the only flight available the day of the cruise.

  4. @Lois R you’ve reminded me that we did do a bit of cooking but maybe because of what we were doing it didn’t involve much other than assembling. Thanks for your thoughts on the Spirit, I am really looking forward to it 🥰

  5. @TLCOhio Terry thank you very much for the info and visuals!

On our Moon cruise I personally enjoyed spending time on the deck behind the Arts Cafe with a yummy drink/snack and a good book. I also participated in a cooking class in the SALT Lab. We didn’t really “cook” anything as everything was pre-measured and pre-cooked for us but it was a fun daytime activity. We liked Atlantide very much so we chose to have lunch there coming back from excursions a few times.

  6. Hello,

We've only sailed on the Moon and had a fabulous cruise and loved the ship. We'll be on the Spirit in January and would really appreciate any insights from those who have been on both ships. I'm very aware that the ships are different so I'm particularly interested in whether different aspects of the ships impacted your experience, good or bad. Many thanks,
