  1. I thought it incredibly unlikely until I saw the video and the floor plan. No fridge or anything resembling room for one. So I'm glad I was wrong.
  2. I looked at the floor plan for the cabin and I think I answered my own question. There does not seem to be a placeholder for mini fridge or bar stuff cabinet anywhere and, as others have pointed out, a lot less storage all around. Sillyme thinks form took precedence over function in this decision 😞
  3. Also, where’s the mini fridge and bar stuff going to go?? Is it possible a new cabinet will be added to the right of the desk? Does anyone know what the small brass thingies on the top corners of the headboard are?
  4. Instagram post of a sneak peak of Serenity’s double room with verandah. Hope the link works: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MDExNjI1MjQ0NzI0NDIy?story_media_id=3128787867169452048&igshid=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA==
  5. Hello, could someone familiar or on board the Spirit tell me what is the maximum weight on the Chest Press? (options would be 200 or 260 lbs). Thanks!
  6. Last time we checked in at the Avenida Palace Hotel in Lisbon it was around 10 pm and we were very hungry. Our biggest surprise when we got to our room was to find a box with two Portuguese Tarts still warm from the oven. The most delicious thing I've ever had πŸ˜‰. They must have sent them up while we were checking in.
  7. Keith I'll be counting on you for the earliest report on what weight equipment they put on the ships. A must know for DH before we even book πŸ˜‰.
  8. Also, Mark Farris is on board Mozart right now (following a few months on Silversea) and there are a number of former Crystal crew that remained with the Mozart. Interesting. Wonder how the cruising experience is under the new Riverside ownership. I would love to cruise on the Mozart (or any of the other four former Crystal river cruises).
  9. FWIW. Posted on the Crystal Society FB page: β€œLast night the dance hosts received emails from Compass saying that the dance host program is back in operation on Crystal, they will send 4 hosts on each cruise and Compass will manage the program.β€œ
  10. There were only 430 pax on that sailing though. Also there’s really only one venue where more than a few couples can dance.
  11. Funnily enough we met one of Crystal's dance hosts on the Silver Moon in December. As far as I could tell there were two hosts and they kept fairly busy.
  12. I find that storage is always more than adequate at the beginning of a cruise and it seems to get smaller and smaller as the trip progresses, regardless of the actual storage. Also, all flat surfaces appear to grow an inordinate amount of stuff as we go along. That's why I only take pictures of the cabin on day 1. πŸ™‚
  13. @Stickman1990 thanks for the memories! The thing with Tastes is that it was great for sharing with friends in an intimate, more casual environment and never in the half dozen times we went were we disappointed.
  14. Only four hours away from this board and the thread got almost completely hijacked. Thanks everyone πŸ™‚ Back to the purpose of the thread: Bad - that they didn't have certain core policies in place before booking started. What is included in the all-inclusive? what discount if any will Crystal Society members get? They did not have to have everything sorted out but these two seem kind of biggie, easy to decide at the top executive level and pretty important to passengers when making booking decisions as the pricing seems to be higher than the competitors'. Good - it appears our beautiful promenade decks will be left intact!
  15. I just found out that changing the country at the very bottom of the Crystal website gives me CAD$!!
  16. @Roland4I didn't know we could book in CAD$ now, that goes on my GOOD column πŸ™‚
  17. @travelberlin and @Worldtraveler22 do you remember where you saw that the gyms have been updated on both ships? I can't find it on the Crystal website (the pictures are old ones) and I've always hated what they did with the Symphony's weight machines.
  18. @BWIVinceand the gap between ocean view and balcony (at least on the sailings I've checked) has also narrowed!
  19. There are so many recent threads with a lot of miscellaneous info and chatter that I'm having a hard time keeping up. I thought I'd start a new clean thread focused on what we learn from Crystal and our TAs as details are nailed down and communicated. I would propose that we list things we know with a reasonable degree of certainty and how we feel about them. For example, I wouldn't discuss shore excursions as at this time we have no information on this topic at all. Comparisons to other lux lines are fair as it serves to inform everyone about what we're getting for our money. My first ones: Tastes - Good. Always loved it on Serenity and happy it will now be on both ships Bathtubs - Bad. Only available on Jr. CP and above. Both Seabourn and Silversea have nice bathtubs on all categories
  20. I'm sad no bathtubs below Jr. CP 😞 I would have thought at least Aquamarine and Sapphire suites would have them.
  21. @paf225thank you very much for the info. Princess is not being very forthcoming at the moment.
  22. Hi there, have you received anything else since? We received the opposite notification from Princess yesterday regarding ours (same as yours), it reads: "Currently we do not anticipate modifications to your Machu Picchu Explorer tour. Should travel to Machu Picchu become unavailable, we will update your land tour itinerary and provide appropriate compensation. We will advise you should any changes be made, but otherwise please plan for your tour to proceed as scheduled." Thanks!
  23. So am I the only one checking this board daily just to see if the itineraries have dropped? Asking for a friend 😁
