  1. We had this problem on Sky in December last year. Unable to make any reservations prior to boarding and the only times available after boarding were 9PM or 9:30PM both in Crown Grill and Sabatini's. I inquired if there was a wait list available for any cancellations and was told no. Our ship was severely understaffed so that might have been the problem. We walked by Sabatini's at 6:30PM one evening and not even half the tables were in use.
  2. In addition to the zip-lock bag, I unscrew the top and put a piece of cling wrap over the opening then close it up. Belts and braces, me.
  3. Logged in but only new reservation # is listed anywhere. I clicked on "past voyages" and it says that up to 10 days after the cruise my loyalty points will be posted. I hope the Azamara account # also shows up at that time. Guess I was jumping the gun. Thanks.
  4. My TA indicated on the confirmation for my Onward cruise booked for December 2023 that "no past passenger number is on file Please email that information if you have previously cruised with Azamara. I completed my Onward cruise last week, logged into the Azamara website and cannot find any sort of account number associated with the cruise line. Is there a place on the website that I should access for that information? Not urgent now, but would like to let my TA know.
  5. The ship's response to any problem/issue is much better on a small ship. I had a problem with the crew access door opposite my cabin. It would slam shut if the crew member didn't hold it to shut it. I reported it to Guest Services and the next day a technician fixed the closing mechanism so it would close slowly. Later that day I received a call from GS asking if the issue was fixed to my satisfaction. Fastest service I've ever received on any ship when reporting a problem.
  6. Ship - Onward Cabin Number - 7098 Month/Year sailed - January 2023 Room type - Standard Club Veranda Would you choose this room again? - No. I didn't select this cabin, rather "won" it on an upgrade bid. Was noise an issue - Yes. 1. Directly across from a Crew access door. This is an entry point for room service delivery and the steward would just let the doors bang closed behind them as they entered the corridor. Not pleasant at 6:30 AM. I brought this up to housekeeping and the next day the crew adjusted the closing mechanism so it closed with a little less noise. Still a bit of a problem. Concerns: 1. The sliding door was difficult to open and close. Really required a big push. 2. Balcony furniture is just awful, awful, awful. One big table and two small uncomfortable chairs. The balcony is certainly big enough for two loungers and a small table. Hope this is fixed before my next cruise. 3. The doors on the desk are ill-fitted and opening the center drawer was. 4. Plenty of people have let their feelings be known about the tiny bathroom and shower. I concur. Conclusion: I certainly enjoyed the size of the room, the copious storage space and my nearly invisible steward. I believe I've only seen him 5 times in the 8 plus days of the cruise but the room is always in excellent shape and is made up when I leave the sign on the door.
  7. Currently on the Onward. Used the laundry two days ago and they didn't have detergent capsules. They have a basket with lid, detergent granules and scoops inside. I brought my own, so it wasn't an issue. The biggest problem I had was that it took 3 cycles to get my clothes dry. They came out of the washer still quite wet. You can fill the bag provided in your room and send it to the ship's laundry for $40. Useful if you have loads of OBC.
  8. Onboard Onward right now for 1/17 cruise. I was - quite literally - the first one through the doors when the port employee said to come in. I was in Group #7, not in a suite or requiring assistance to board. My group started boarding approx. 2:20PM. Since I had to check out of my hotel at 11AM it was a long wait. The whole process was very fast and, after the required muster check-in, was up to Deck 9 to book my Prime C and Aqualina reservations. Luggage was at my door by 4 PM. Don't stress yourself out. It's an easy process.
  9. I was re-reading the Tips spreadsheet and it indicated that check-in must be completed 90 minutes prior to sailing. I received an email from Azamara today about my 1/17/23 Onward sailing and this information is provided: Once at the terminal, check-in must be completed no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Not sure if I have an old copy of the spreadsheet and this has been changed or if it applies only to Miami or this particular sailing. Just a heads-up.
  10. Upgrade accepted for Jan 17th Onward cruise. Originally booked an obstructed view outside cabin. Offered $250 for standard Veranda cabin. I believe the minimum was $200. From 6th deck center to 7th deck rear. Very happy with the location. Any more information needed for your spreadsheet? Thank you for all the excellent information you provide! First Azamara cruise after 19 cruises on 5 other lines.
  11. Speaking of internet service..... I will be onboard the Onward on January 17th and would like to know what is the procedure for setting up our devices once on the ship. I have OBC that I would like to use for that purpose. Are there instructions in the staterooms or is there a specific person or department to visit? Thanks!
  12. Was notified by (Android) Google Play apps that there was a new update for the Princess app. Updated and.........nothing. Clicking on the app only shows the logo. Left it on for 10 minutes, came back - logo. Rebooted the phone - logo only. Sigh. Fortunately our Medallions are on their way and I've printed out the summary for our 12/3 Sky cruise. Good to go. Not worth fussing with the app until we get on the ship.
  13. Hubby and I will be on the Dec. 3rd Sky sailing. He only wants to eat in the dining room for dinner so I will warn him of the spotty and slow service. He is NOT a patient person, so I see us headed to the buffet - with plenty of grumbling - after about 30 minutes. The food looks fabulous in every photo. Thank you!
  14. Thank you takemewithyou! I just registered for my Onward cruise in January. Says there are now 10 people registered.
  15. I hope someone can point me to the spot on the Azamara website where you can register for the Meet and Greet. I've looked several times with no success. TIA
  16. Excellent news! Especially if Windows has "real" coffee and not the liquid concentrate type I've had on other cruise lines. Any coffee is good coffee if you're desperate enough.
  17. My first Azamara cruise will be in January on the Onward. I have read that the buffet and Mosaic Cafe open at 7AM. I am an early riser and would really like to have some coffee before then! Is there a station onboard with 24 hour coffee/tea, etc. or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for any information.
  18. Thank you all so much for the information. I had forgotten about the cruise personalizer that you can submit before cruising. He will be able to indicate "no milk products" and that will help in the dining room. In the buffet and specialty areas, he will just ask for margarine (if available)
  19. My husband and I will be on the Sky Princess in December. He is lactose intolerant and is concerned that he won't be able to get margarine instead of butter in the dining room and buffet. Is margarine easily available? Thanks for any help.
