  1. The best advice, I think, is to book as early as you can. We made a deposit on a cruise that's almost two years out and received some extra perks. Only our 2nd cruise on HA.
  2. On the Nieuw Amsterdam in late 2021 (still "Covidian" with masks, etc.) with a friend and we both agreed the absolute high point of the cruise for us was the Lincoln Center Stage classical performances. We attended every single one and, by the way, it was standing room only for every single one. I realize that all cruise lines are trying to attract younger passengers and families but eliminating the classical performances is a shame.
  3. This thread has been so helpful to me as I will be on my first (solo) Regent cruise in December on the Navigator - round trip from Miami. Thank you to everyone for your input!
  4. Thank you all for the information! I will plan accordingly.
  5. I haven't cruised Princess for awhile. I believe most cruise ships now have refillable bottles of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in the bathrooms. Is any body lotion provided or should I bring my own? Thanks. Will be embarking on the Emerald next Wednesday.
  6. Ooops, missed the Dressed to Impress listing! Yes, I would consider that the equivalent of Formal Night. Thanks for your thread.
  7. Only 2 formal nights? Interesting. I will be on this cruise next month and I was advised by previous cruisers that there were 3 formal nights on the full-transit cruise. Good. Less to pack!
  8. mrell345, did you take the cruise airport transfer that seems to be a disaster? How long did it take in total (from being called on the ship, through customs, on the bus and to the airport)? In March, my travel partner and I expect to take a taxi from San Pedro to the airport, even though I've been warned that it could cost upwards of $100. In the past I have had very bad luck with the ship transfers. Thanks for any information you can provide and thank you so much for your travelog.
  9. Thank you all so much for the feedback! I have advised my travel friend that she needn't panic (she hates needles and shots). However, I said that things could always change and that's beyond our control.
  10. My friend and I will be on the Emerald Princess in March 2024 for a thru-transit PC cruise. Another couple she knows that will be on the same cruise was told by their doctor that they will need the following documentation for the cruise: Shingles documentation, plus proof of receiving the following shots - flu, pneumonia and Covid (plus boosters). I have recently cruised and none of those things were required. Understand that things could always change in 2024, but I thought that their doctor was certainly misinformed. Any insights? Thanks!
  11. I was on the Onward in January of this year. I had the Ultimate Beverage package and, yes, several of the wines listed were not available. My experience was that the substitutions were superior to the listed wines. One Cabernet Sauvignon offered as a sub was priced at $75/bottle at my local giant liquor store when I returned home. No complaints with any of the wines.
  12. Not sure if this is a supply issue based on ports and loading availability. My husband and I will be sailing aboard Onward in December and he is a Pepsi guy. I told him he can bring a 12 pack of Pepsi onboard if only Coke products are available. I did a solo cruise in January but have no memory of Pepsi or Coke because I don't drink sodas! Any help would be appreciated in advance.

    New website.

Nuts4pi, I have tried FOUR different browsers/search engines (Brave, Firefox, Bing, Chrome) on TWO different computers (Windows 10 and Windows 11 based). Exact same result. Same screen. I appreciate the help but nothing works.

I am not very good with computers, so I took a picture with my camera. Hope this works. If not, I'll have to figure out how do do a screenshot off the Azamara website. No "i" in a circle on the right side, no three horizontal lines on the top left. Hope this is readable. As

Tried with UK site - same result. I give up!

    New website.

Nuts4pi - no, that's not the screen I see when I click on "Upcoming Cruises". No three vertical marks in the left corner, no circle "i" on the right side. Nothing. I've even tried accessing the Azamara website with three different web browsers!! Same screen every time. Very frustrating. I will have to wait until I get on the ship to sort things out. Thanks everyone for your assistance. I really appreciate it.

    New website.

Grandma Cruising, all the things you've indicated I should be able to see just aren't there on my screen. No drop-down menu other than Hi Kathleen/Upcoming Cruises/Sign out. Clicking on Upcoming Cruises gives me this drop-down menu: Bookings FAQ/Communication Preferences/Sign out. It does show my upcoming Onward cruise in December, however. I will try the book-a-cruise method later and see if that works. I am so appreciative of all the help I have been given on this site! Azamara folks are the best (Princess is mostly complaining!!).

    New website.

Grandma Cruising, I logged on using my original password - no status at top. Reset my password - no status on top. Sigh. Not sure what's going on, will probably have to wait until my next cruise in December to get it sorted out.

Please excuse my ignorance but WHERE???on my profile can I see my loyalty status? I tried to follow the instructions on the FAQ site, but I don't see my status anywhere and don't see any link to loyalty points. I was "Explorer" on my January 2023 cruise.
  20. I cruised on the Onward in January and there are plenty of Gluten Free options, especially in the buffet area. Gluten Free items are clearly marked and the culinary staff will be glad to help you. If you can find posted copies of past or current dining room menus on CC, you will see that GF items are identified every day. No worries!
  21. Thank you all for the great ideas! He will probably pay by-the-glass and save our OBC for something more exciting - Chef's Table and/or excursions.
  22. My husband isn't much of a drinker, but he does like Jack Daniels. Will he have to upgrade his alcohol package or is it available in the base fare? I used to have a download of the liquor brands included in each package but am unable to find it. Thanks for any assistance.
  23. We will be on a 15 day full transit of the canal and would like to inquire if anyone knows how many formal nights? 2 on a 7 day cruise so, 4? TIA
  24. My husband and I liked Bellini's in December 2022 but that was mostly because of a specific server that we liked. I believe her name was Aeisa (?) and, even when the area was crowded and she was rushed with orders, she always remembered what we wanted. Excellent service.
